Hello people,

I bet you get this thread hundreds of times a day, but I just can't decide whether I'm putting my hardware and myself at risk with this setup.

I'm using a Wotofo Warrior RDA with a dual coil 0.22 ohm build on top of a Smok H-Priv 2 with 2 Sony VTC6s

I am running it at 180 watts currently, but I feel like I am over discharging the batteries by quite a large amount. Is this so?

Also, Is this dangerous? If so, what would be the best course of action that isn't turning down the wattage as this weakens flavour and clouds etc.

Thanks :)

180w on a smok mod is dangerous in its self [emoji23] but you need battery's get over to fogstar and get a set of VTC5A

I fail to see why people feel the need to push a mod to its limit. My van has 160mph on the dial but I sure as fuck don't drive it at max speed or revs.
If you want the same vape but at lower watts, turn down the power & close the airflow. Learn to build to get the flavour you want at sensible watts. Far more to getting flavour than zapping the shit out of your coils with KW numbers.
If it's for "cloudz bro" get a 300w mod & really make a name for yourself.

You are way over the amp rating of the cells if that's what you are asking .... by at least 10A.

The only action is to turn the power down, I'd recommend using a build that doesn't require 180w to produce flavour and clouds etc..... what did you make your coils out of a coat hanger?

I didn't quite anticipate the amount of power needed to drive these coils lol,

Would I be wrong in thinking that the continuous discharge rating for these batteries is 20A, but the rated Pulse discharge is 30A?

Am I still going over 30 amps by 10A?

Cheers

I genuinely don’t get this obsession with high wattage.

My advice is to find the sweet spot for your device and coil. I’d suggest this is likely to be between 40w-80w. I don’t know anyone who vapes at 180w

Surely the flavour can’t be very good at 180w? Isn’t it like puffing burning eliquid? Have you ever tried it with the power lower?
