I have an Istick 30w, t18 coil and just started using 50/50 oil. I think the watts are set incorrectly. I was told 4.3v / 11.5 watts. I prime the coil correctly but after a couple of days it tastes burnt then tastes normal then burnt then normal. When its constantly tasting burned, I change it. So what is correct setting? Is 50/50 oil ok to use? I've had a bad accident in work and got nerve damage in my back leaving me unable to move so I need my ecig more than ever. Thanks for any help

Hi and welcome to the planet.
forget the volts. just go by watts as this is a regulated mod so does all the working out for you.
most juice (its not oil) at 50/50 is perfect for this setup.
ive not got the t18 tank or coil so is it a 1.8ohm or similar number like that.
how deep are you inhaling and is it quite often as the coil might not have enough time to soak up more juice so you get a dry hit and burnt taste.

I do inhale quite a lot. I've noticed that I'll inhale 3 amounts and prob the 3rd, I'll taste burnt taste

that could be what it is then. the cotton doesnt have enough time to soak up more juice by the third inhale so gives a burnt hit. try shorter or only two inhales at a time and see how that goes.

Listen thank you so much 4 replying. I'm having trouble getting out to smoke so now using my ecig and glad I found this forum to buy what i need. Is the setting of 11.5 watts ok? How would I know if it's too high or too low? Reason I ask is can I turn it down to make the coil last longer

The 1.5 coil in a T18 tank should easily take 11.5 watts. You can reduce the power if you like and will lengthen coil life but at those low wattages not by that much at all. As you've been advised already I suspect it's from taking a few hard draws in quick succession and the coil not been able to wick fast enough. I struggled with that a first so you're not alone.

there is never too low. im using coils that can take 120watts but im quite happy vaping at 50-60watts
what you will notice is less cloud and flavour due to running at a lower wattage but it should prolong the life of the coil. google shows 1-3 weeks is the norm and the max wattage is 14watts

just to check. how many holes does your coil have, is it 3 or 5
T18 T22 5 holes https://www.wholesalecoils.co.uk/co.../products/innokin-t18-t22-1-5ohm-coils-pack-5
