I'm not a new new user but I am still very new to vaping so thought i'd put this here. Just a few questions about everything vaping... hope someone can give me some answers :)
1. How come you get a dry mouth when you vape? as vaping creates a cloud of moisture, so that doesnt make sense to me.
2. I've been vaping about 4-5ml's of juice a day( i used to be a very heavy smoker so....) is this about average or does this explain question 1? lol
3. One of the side effects of stopping smoking and starting vaping is much healthier lungs and another is a bladder that is constantly under strain, is the bladder one normal or another side effect of question 1. ?
i think i might have answered everything after reading it all again lol but any input would appreciated :)

1. E liquid will dehydrate you so you should drink plenty water. There are quite a few side effects that some people will experience and some others won't. Some will experience things that will pass after a few days or even weeks, ie sore lips, rash round the mouth.

Have a look at this http://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/f...Side-effects-of-vaping?highlight=side+effects

2. I don't think that there is a right or wrong amount you should vape. As its been said before, your body will tell you when it's had enough.

3. If you are drinking more because vaping is making you thirsty then naturally you'll pee more lol.

Hope that helps you a bit.

Hi Mikton,

1. It's mainly the chemicals in the juice and I tend to get more of a dry mouth on heavier PG mixes than I do VG. VG is natural so i don't tend to get as dry a mouth using it.
2. Average - If it's the weekend and I've got a drink in my hand I tend to vape around 10ml a day. When I'm working maybe only 3 so depends on your working day etc'.
3. I've lost a lot of weight over the last few years as I drink more fluids when vaping so i don't feel as hungry and as a result it's gotta go somewhere.

So, you're probably about right in your thinking and nothing sounds too abnormal there for me. Happy days !

Hello and welcome Mikton

Dry mouth for me is usually to high a pg ratio and I switched to 50/50 mix to resolve this

4/5 mil is what I vape and I was a heavy smoker so not unusual

Not notices the bladder issue but are you drinking more to compensate the dry mouth?

These all sound pretty normal. I find pg is very drying and I always feel quite congested first thing in the morning with pg high liquids. Usage varies greatly from person to person, personally I'm around 4-6 ml a day but the nic% can also effect the amount you use. I have heard if other folks needing to pee more too. All perfectly normal, but as you vape for a longer time you may find things change :)

As earlier stated, the dry mouth is perfectly normal. I don't remember which, but either pg or vg vapour binds to water, thus absorbing the moisture in your mouth and throat. That's why it's important to drink lots of water when vaping.

The vape isn't water-vapour, but the gasform of and/or particles of pg and vg. That's why it doesn't make your throat moist.

:-)

Hi, thanks everyone for your reply's :)
I think I've been lucky that I haven't had any really adverse effects like sore mouth or lips, though I did have a sore throat for a few days when I started vaping.
A thing I do have a problem with is when looking at liquids to buy from varies vendors, they often don't state whether its PG or VG or a mix and the ratio's! but maybe i'm not looking hard enough...
And yes i have been drinking more to combat the dryness, so the marathon peeing sort of explains itself lol
Thanks jangeisler I hadnt realised it was a gas form and not a water-vapour!

Ordinary vapour is the gas form of water, the vapour we use, is the vapour / gas form of vg/pg.
Water vape, which is also made of small particles, would moist your mouth, while pg/vg has a drying effect. :-). I hope that it makes sense.
