What's new

Just imagine, braided silica that doesn't fray when you cut it

I'll look forward to sending you all a sample after Rob has it shipped to my house....... @stealthvape

I bought quite a lot of jiffy bags earlier and had a panic just as I was about to click buy and double checked the address... Safe :)

It would have been a bit of a squeeze this time hehe

Any plans to stock BioWick?

I don't want to say never, I just still have to get over my rational fears of organic wicks. Cotton decomposes at 150c, rots when wet, grows mold.

Vapor production can't be denied going from videos I've seen it just makes my spider senses tingle a bit

I've got twisted quartz wick as my next line, samples inbound

No worries, I've got the hang of cotton wool which I love in my Kayfun, Bit was looking for something other than silica for the ceramic cup type atties...

I would have sent a sample to someone who'd ordered ribbon, Ekowool and mesh this week. ;)

Surely it'd need oxygen and water for the mould/rot? Can't see that being too much of an issue in an atty if the cotton is being swapped over frequently.

Not being given time to go rotten by changing the wick frequently, that would make me feel a lot better about it in general. There's oxygen, there's often a little water in an eliquid, condensation, bacteria from your mouth.

As it stands, I won't stock products I'm not willing to use myself. But I'm struggling my way with cotton to find a compromise about my other worries. So I've a contact that's trying to find a supplier for a twicted cotton wick to produce a cotton wick to my specs.

You won't need to boil it for 30 mins for a start

So I'll do it. I'll source the best organic cotton wick and have it processed thoroughly so it won't need anything doing to it other than rebuild and vape. If you guys are going to insist on using the stuff I'd better source the best and cleanest gear available :)
