Kick

kick+ mech= pointless, get a vamo :S
The original point of the kick was to make VW affordable negating the need to buy (at the time) unaffordable VW mods.
Admittedly the likes of the Vamo and others has shifted the goalposts. But there are those who have a quality mech mod who may still wish to 'upgrade' (leaving aside the argument as to whether Rebuild skillage with sub ohms et al may mean varying the power is redundant-- not everyone rebuilds) who will still like a kick in it.
I don't disagree with the general point that you make but I for one would prefer a Nemesis/Roller/Dingo etc + kick over a Vamo any day for looks.
And yes I had a Vamo and a good value piece of kit it was...until the readings went weird...oh and the connector broke..and the fire button fecked up.

How long did your button last before it fecked up? My - v/w button isn't always contacting all of a sudden.

hi zack...the sig kick has a dial on it...this should be at the top of the mod i think so you can just remove the top cap and adjusrt the dial with a small philips...clockwise to up the voltage...best guess is to go to centre which should be about 5 volts and work from there....

He's just jesting with you Zack, the kick is variable wattage, not voltrage :)

Kicks are certainly not a pain in the arse. Once you've got them set to your own personal sweet spot, you just forget about them, never really needing to adjust them again. And the joy of them being variable wattage as opposed to voltage is, they automatically adjust to your chosen wattage regardless of what Ω's your coil is unlike variable voltage which would need adjusting. That way you don't ned to be so critical when winding your coils like you would without a kick.

Don't sweet spots vary from juice to juice? And even from ambient temperature? I find myself adjusting my Vamo from 6 to 8 watts depending on those factors.

Your probably right Dennis but I only use one juice. I've tried many but don't like any of them, not even Custard. I have a kick but don't use it. Not because it doesn't work, because it shuts off far too early at 3.6v. If it allowed the battery to run

Oops, double post by the look of it.

Agree with Tony that the downside is battery usage time, especially if you are running in 18350 mode, but I use one all the same in one of my mechs and really like it, so much so that it is now a permanent fixture.

Can anybody tell me the best kick and the place to get it, for my mechs? thanks...
