Kylin RTA gold plating falling off

Got a kylin RTA a few days ago but the gold plating on the deck started flaking so I scrapped most of it off the only problem is that the gold plating had copper in it do you think it's still OK to vape even though there might still be some copper exposed ???

You can get copper RDA's, post screws, drip tips and all sorts these days so I suspect it's "safe". It does depend on the copper and what other metals are in the mix (lead??).

Personally, if it's only 3 days old and the gold plating is coming off I'd have it replaced from the place I purchased from. That must have been an extremely thin layer of gold plating or a defective unit.

Thanks man I think I'll just keep a good eye on it to see if it starts to corrode or not was thinking of buying the ammit v2 as well which doesn't have a gold plated deck
