Law restricting sale of e-cigarettes set to be passed by MSPs

The Scottish Government’s Health Bill will ban under-18s from buying the devices and limit their advertising.

The Bill will make it an offence to smoke within a designated no-smoking area around buildings in NHS hospital grounds.

hospitals have already banned e cigs for the past year. i have to use our one and only smoking shelter with the smokers.

vaping devices and juice are already age restricted in all of England and wales, so they are just bringing policy into line with the rest of the UK. not sure how they are going to police "smoking" near a hospital though without teams of trumped up security guard wannabee's

lots of very wide ideas in one announcement, the NHS as a whole already has duty of candour

Wish the frakkin' Scots 'parly' would actually do something about the pissed up wee neds who can still buy Buckfast no matter how young the wee bastards are.
Or actually do something about the piss poor health standards in a fair few parts of the country.

But, no, lets go after vaping as that is easy. Lets no discuss just how many nurses and Doctors you see outside having a smoke and not always where they are 'allowed' to.

I thought smoking on hospital grounds was already banned in Scotland though I'm pretty sure NHS Lothian allows vaping.
