So I've tried lots of custards I like, but the one that I can't work out the taste of (but really like) is Isle Of Custard "Captain's Custard". The site says it's got hints of banana but the main thing (to my taste at any rate) is that it's more "custard-y" and less "creamy" ... anyone tried it so they can confirm my assessment of it?
Or, better yet, have a recipe to replicate either it, or that less creamy custard taste? I've tried mixing with custard flavour only but the results have been a bit "meh".
