Liquid going dark and harsh....

Again i am certain this si something that has been discussed here before so apologies for rehashing something.

It is an issue that has been brought up on the Vaping Rocks group in the past and really no definitive answer has come about to my knowledge.

Every so often my liquid will turn very dark and become very harsh, especially on the sinuses, alot of taste is lost (no burning though).

There have been many theories, ranging from temerature to mixing and juices used and quite a few people have experienced this.

Is there an answer to what causes this, or a thread someone can link me to please, I don't mind binning the odd ml of liquid, but I am just stumped as to what causes it.

I have experienced this in both Nova's and on odd occasion Giantomizers, so my use and experience is quite limited.

I get that when the atomiser is quite old and on its last legs only, havnt experienced it otherwise. Have you tried giving the atty a thorough clean? i.e. leave it in luke warm water over night and leave to naturally dry over 2 days or so? this usually brings attys back to life and the liquid i put in it doesnt get tainted anymore, it also almost seems like the liquid gets thinner, as well as dis-coloured...
