Lockdown V3

It would seem sky news have rewritten their news article about it and removed the information. Bloody bastards making me look stupid.

For the record it was there for several hours word for word what I posted, 674 covid 47 non covid. Amongst all the disclaimer about it potentially including Christmas period etc.

but death from covid means nothing it's horrific but you have to survive the illness with no long term conditions

https://www.ons.gov.uk/news/stateme...nceoflongcovidsymptomsandcovid19complications

this is only an estimate WHO foundation early data says 1 in 20 face long term conditions with covid from mild to severe

so the in short for a large number of people, they get covid and recover for a number they get it and go on to suffer but there is no test to which condition you get its a flip of a coin and how your own body handles the virus

but let us not forget the jab is 50% to 90% effective so 10% to 50% of the injected people will still catch covid how ill they become is still unknown. the jab wont stop you spreading covid on your hands or transmitting the virus to non vaccinated people.

I cant inject the vaccine. I'm trained to inject (part of the job) but I haven't got all the stupid bits of paper 1 to 2 million injections a week........... at the moment, not a chance

Since when did anyone start listening to a word "WHO" says, going on their past record regarding the dangers of Vaping, I'd take as much notice of them as I would if it was printed in the S*N !!!

There is confusion... hope this clears it up, the 47 are other covid related deaths without having been tested , but mentioned on the death certificate.

NHS England reports 674 more Covid hospital deaths
NHS England has reported 674 further hospital coronavirus deaths. The details are here.

This is almost 100 more than the total number of hospital deaths announced yesterday (582) which was until now the largest daily figure for hospital deaths announced by NHS England in this wave of the pandemic.

For comparison, here are the equivalent figure for the last four Wednesdays.

A week ago today - 494

Two weeks ago today - 416

Three weeks ago today - 369

Four weeks ago today - 344

All these figures relate to people who died in hospital after testing positive for Covid. They are the headline numbers produced by NHS England. But it also records patients who die in hospital without having had a positive test, but where Covid was mentioned on the death certificate. Today, in addition to the 674 headline deaths, NHS England is recording 47 other Covid-related deaths.

That is clearer than the sky news version certainly. Thanks!

The cynical in me has to ask the question however , what are 47 other covid related deaths? Either they are or aren't surely? There certainly isn't a middle ground!

The way I have seen a lot of information presented is in a manner I consider misleading. Numbers without context for example or hand picking a story to essentially drum up a fear factor when the data suggests otherwise if that makes sense?

In terms of long covid, it's one of those misleading points because the majority of the symptoms for long covid aren't new, they are lasting symptoms of pneumonia which is common practice. Perhaps not loss of smell as they are directly connected to covid but a lot of others are pneumonia which is the difference between not having any issues with covid and ending up in hospital. They are connected , one causes the other which is the part I'll be interested in understanding more in the future.

Just things like that for me tie into social distancing , washing hands etc. What should he common knowledge is treated like brand new information so long covid for the most part has existed before covid did , we just never heard about the side effect of pneumonia unless you experienced it yourself.

would you rather put your faith in Boris who sent all the kids to school as Jonathan pie said for one day granted the WHO is not for vaping but does that mean we discredit all of what they say because of one issue, I'm not in favour of racist homophobic people but I still attend racist and homophobic people when I'm working?

Yes,I would discredit everything that corrupt organisation came out with, especially after the barefaced lies they propogated around Vaping, they cannot be Trusted anymore than Boris and his Hijacking of the Virus to make him and his Buddies Billions of pounds !!!

Apparently none of the 47 were Flu related either, according to the Gov website, nobody was admitted to an ICU in England with Flu related Respiratory diseases or Pneumonia, between the end of September 2020 and the end of December 2020 !!! Covid has eradicated the Flu as well apparently, either that or the Flu vaccine has drastically improved, even taking in to account the uptake in vaccinations last year !!!

I've said it many times before but there is a lot of discrepancy in the numbers. Since July, respiratory deaths as one example had dropped by hundreds every week. Give it time and you will see many causes of death drop this year compared to every other year , ones that a mask wouldn't change

There is excess deaths and they are in the thousands , that can't be denied. Many people have lost their life sadly this year that would not have otherwise lost it.

I choose to look beyond the headline though with all of this whilst following all the rules, question things without falling out of line with the whole scenario.

I did see an article today that says 140 per 100k people admitted to hospital are 85 and over. 75-84 make up 60 per 100k of admissions, just under 30 for 65-74 etc and then lower again for the rest.

So especially given the average age of death is 82 from covid and the vast majority of the hospital admissions are 85 and over (the rest combined don't make up the same rate). Something I have suggested before on here still has a lot of validity even if others disagree. After 10 months of this, would it not have been better to stop 75 and over from being exposed to the virus rather than locking everywhere down yet again? We had months to do that and if locking a country down is special circumstances then surely having measures in place for the age groups affected by this would vastly reduce the hospital admissions.

That and my other question would be if after 10 months this age groups is still being exposed to the virus to this extent, isn't all of this preventative measures a failure? Isn't lockdowns a failure if the root cause of deaths / hospital admissions have never been prevented?

Covid is just mentioned on the death certs..... without a positive certainty as not tested (it's probably likely in the doctors opinion) .... it happens all the time, majority of old folks will have pneumonia mentioned on their death cert....covers all bases really..... so yes there is plenty of middle ground.

Maybe but we can't go back in time, we are where we are... and regardless of how the numbers are being presented, we are not in a good place now. I know for a fact cases are increasing around me, my mate has it right now, coughing up blood and feeling like shit. It might have been better to do a lot of things a year ago but we didn't, there's no point in going on about it now.
