I'm looking for a new re-buildable tank, I've had a Fogger v4 and managed a decent build on it but it was way to airy/loose for me even with the air holes almost closed. So I'm now looking for a new one that is suitable for novice builders but with a tighter draw, or at least very adjustable air flow. I was hoping that a Kayfun or Taifun would be suitable, but would like people's opinions before I buy.

Thanks.

I love the kayfun, but not had a fogger, so can't offer a comparison

I have the fogger v4, several kfl clones and a taifun clone. Ive only had the taifun a few days but it is by far my favourite tank out of the three, I'm thinking about buying several more. The kfl has the tightest draw out of the ones I have. Maybe go for a kfl+ which will allow you to have afc.

Have genuine KFL+, fogger v4 and clone taifun gt and gs. Like you I like quite a tight draw and find the kayfun and taifun far better than the fogger. Taifun is not so temperamental as the kayfun that can leak if not set up properly. Last week bought a rose clone (slap wrist) it beats both, by so much now pestering OH for genuine one

I have a taifun gt and kayfun 3.1 and in std trim the taifun gt has a tight draw, much tighter than my kayfun. But you can pull the air tube out of the gt to make it a little more airy, both have great flavour.

I've only got clones of Kayfun and Taifun (and a second-hand Big Fogger which is indeed airy when it isn't pissing juice because I screwed up the build - again). The Kayfun is a bit tighter than the Taifun. If it's a Kayfun you're after, and use Fasttech, then it would be worthwhile to have a hunt through the reviews and especially the forum posts on FT, for a tight-drawing clone, as there's loads of different versions of the Kayfun from a lot of different suppliers on FT.
