+1 on the Kayfun Lite Plus vote for the OP's requirement.
It is adjustable as far as airflow is concerned and you can make it as tight as you want. It is also easy to build and wick and leakproof for most people. I have never had a Kayfun leak on me, even as a novice builder, and they are great for ease of use and aftermarket parts. Filling them is a minor nuisance if you use the bottom screw, but there is a topfill method that works if you are careful and also an aftermarket tank called the Ghost Refill, that allows you to refill them from the side.
If you've got money to spare, then the Squape R is better than the Kayfun, being even easier to build, has an easily adjustable airflow control ring, easier to fill, and gives superior flavour and vapour production than the Kayfun in my opinion. The only rival I think to the Squape R is the Rose V2, but I find the Rose a good deal less easy to work with and it's slightly more expensive than the Squape R.
