So I have been saving and want to get a mod (just too shiny) currently using vamo v5
The thing is I'm clueless as to what to buy, nem,chi you, origin, pap ??
Then what atty ? I like the look of the Prometheus
I have efest 18350 and 183650 batteries.
I don't want to sub ohm, do I need a kick or ok without one ?

Aaarrgghh !! Sorry for all the questions, which one of you mod master apes wants to mentor me in a fasttech order ?

Oh and I hate ss drip tips so would want to replace that but not make the atty look shit with a cheap plastic one

Nem(read the reviews,some are better than others)Kraken(same advice),pyrex drip tips,sorted. If you are interested will go thru my orders and get the SKU numbers, just be patient from F/T or pay a bit more and get within 3 days from vapegeek

As I was typing ^^^^ :D

As a first mech I'd say go for a nem ( brass or copper because the voltage drop is less than the ss )

As for an attie I can highly recommend a kayfun lite clone, or if dripping there are many basic small one coil jobs to start off with, and you can bung in a cheap dripper with your order as most are cheap as chips :)

I'll have a little look and post some links as there are a few variations of the nem mods and kayfun atties and some are known to be a better build than others

Nemesis clone http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005773/1493800-nemesis-style-mechanical-mod

Kayfun lite clone http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10006473/1605200-kayfun-lite-styled-rebuildable-atomizer-4-5ml

Just a couple of basics but reliable and once you've built a coil on a kayfun a few times its a doddle :)

Would also suggest a ohms tester if you don't already have one but you can always use your vamo for that if your keeping hold of it

Drip tips come in glass, wood, plastic.
Short / long / fat / thin it is trial and error til you are happy and then my god is vaping xxx rated :D

Actually, do we ever review drip tips!?! Might be worth starting :D

<elistist wannabe>

Mod: Get something genuine you love the look of and will give you the intrinsic pleasure from owning something well designed and crafted.
Atty: Dome. It has insulated wick holes and although it looks complicated it isn't and will allow you to experiment with oodles of set-ups.
Tips: The Vicious Ant Chaplin is my favourite but the MCV ones are great too. stealthvape will shortly be releasing tips designed by Jim532 and they're lush as well.

</did I do good ElsaBubs?>

In all honesty, if I had my time over again, it's what I would have done. I'm not going to knock anyone buying from FT because I did it...but the kit I now own is stuff that I get pleasure from instead of it just being a collection of vaping devices.

The FT nems and the Hcig Nems you can get from the likes of Vape Geek are really well made and perform incredibly well...but I'm saving for a proper Nem and a brass cap for the Dome and I'll be more chuffed with them when they arrive than I ever was with an FT delivery.

I know this makes me sound like a cunt. That's mainly because I are one.

Well done young Jedi Mawsley :P
I have to agree. While you may be happy using cheaply made clones from china that do the job, you will appreciate, love, and get a lot more enjoyment and a lot more longevity out of genuine high end devices that have been made with love in limited runs in comparison to the clones, with much better qc. These devices although expensive and initially off putting to a newb due to the price tag do fully prove their worth.

There are however some high end products, or products placed within the high end category and price range that are not so good. So if you do choose to go down this route make sure you do your research. Although this forum is generally pro clone there are people that will be more than happy to advise and offer opinions on high end stuff if you need it. Me and Mawsley being just two, with plenty more about.

good luck in your journey!!!

Partially disagree with you Mawsley I think F/T helped us,admit you have to sort the wheat from the chaff but if I hadnt tried their clones at cheap prices I wouldnt of found the set ups I like. I used the cheap clone gear to find what I like and am now changing it slowly to the real deal, some mods have been left by the way side and if Id spent good money on them I wouldnt have been able to find the ones I like so soon tho the Nems I have will be staying as think they really are as good as the real deal and yes Ive tried both side by side(think I red somewhere even Carlos was impressed lol)
Sorry to ramble just think F/T is a good way into mech mods
