low juice consumption? difficulty changing to just vaping, any tips?

I always smoked more when I was under stress and when I was feeling down. I guess that this is making it even harder for you to switch. Please keep on going, don't worry if you have the occasional fag, you're still in transition, just give it more time for your body to adjust. And don't beat yourself up about it, it will make you more stressed and more likely to have a fag. Even with the odd fag, you'll still be much better of health wise, so don't give up!

It might be helpful for me to add to my first post that I went into this with a "no pressure" approach. I smoked when I wanted to and didn't beat myself up about it - as it happens, I was pleasantly surprised at how few smokes I actually wanted, but even now - if I have a day where I want/need more than usual, I don't worry about it (well, perhaps a little now - but I try not to).

One thing to remember is that with other nicotine reduction/abstinence methods, returning to just one cig plonks you right back at the bottom of the hill again, but moving to vaping doesn't. We're all still nicotine users (except the few zero nic vapers), so even if we went a year on vaping alone and then had a cig, it doesn't put us back, as we've not reintroduced nicotine. I know from smoking so few each day that smoking doesn't undo the good that vaping's done.

I smoked 20-25 a day for 45 years with no intention of stopping. I'd seen e-cigs but never considered them till a couple of months ago I was at a friends house and he was on the Fasttech website ordering a Vamo-Vivi Nova setup. Out of curiosity I ordered one and a bottle of 18mg pineapple juice as well.
It took a couple of weeks to arrive and when it did I filled the tank, took a drag and threw a packet with 18 Marlboro in the bin and haven't wanted a cigarette since. I'm still bemused at how easy I found it, given how much I loved to smoke!
I'm really not being smug(well...maybe a bit), but my friend on the other hand fought his way down from 40 a day(40!!!) to the 2 or 3 he has now and reckons in another 2 or 3 weeks he'll be off them altogether which is a much greater achievement than mine given that the last time he tried to stop cold turkey, after 3 hours he was a gibbering wreck.
It's just different strokes for different folks isn't it? stick at it, you'll get there.

I can echo what everyone else has been saying really. Everyone is different, and what works for one won't necessarily work for another. I was a committed 30-a-day rollies smoker and had no intention of giving up when my OH kept on about it, i just smiled and nodded my head, "yes babe we'll do it tomorrow", never intending to actually do anything about it ;). Then one day she came back from bingo all excited talking about this electronic cigarette she'd seen one of her friends using, "its got a blue light on it!" she proclaimed so excited! Anyway that weekend we went to find her one and she loved it, she got me to try it, i told her it was nice, (i didn't like the taste of it, i preferred my roll-ups), so the next weekend we went out and got one for myself, one of the double ego kits with the ce4 clearo's for £40 plus a bit extra for some juice, and being totally honest i haven't really craved a roll-up since then and that was back in march. I've now got around 6 or 7 different devices ranging from the original ego kit from march up to variable voltage kits. I'm currently vaping on an ego twist with a protank with some of emporium vapour's "smooth red" juice we bought from vapefest. Just stick with it, it will happen sooner or later, one day you'll just find yourself not craving fags anymore and really enjoying your vaping experience. Trust me, it really is worth it, and the guys and gals here at POTV are THE most helpful bunch in the vaping community bar none! :)

Thanks for these posts folks, I'm glad I read them. I bought a Tornado T Last Tuesday on a whim after seeing my nephew use His EGo (I think it's a cheap knock off though). Up until buying that Tornado If you had told me that within 48 hours I'd be down from 20-25 a day to 1 or 2 Cigs a day the I would have laughed at you and said "Not even if you hit me with a big stick!". Thats whats happened though, I'm still on that "Morning" cig, but after a day of vaping the evening one is not much of a joy and I've realised that it's mostly because they're lying around that I'm still smoking them. Not many left now so once they're gone then I feel I'll be able to resist buying more and that will be it - a non smoker at last - 20 years late but almost there...:yahoo:

Like Tubbyengineer, I can vouch for the Tornado Tank. I bought mine, along with a bottle of their Red Label 18mg regular tobacco liquid, a month ago from a Totally Wicked store in the UK and, from the very first drag on it, I have not had a single real cigarette, nor do I want one. I still can't quite believe that I have stopped smoking because I found is so easy, and this after years of smoking roll-ups and several attempts to quit using other things like gum, patches, and so on. I find my Tornado Tank with the juice I use is 100% as satisfying as a real cigarette, even first thing in the morning. Maybe I was lucky and the first thing I tried was the right one for me, but I am so convinced that I tell everyone about it, and would definitely recommend the Tornado Tank to a newbie.
