I used a step drill bit. Is definitely a must have bit of kit, use it all the time!

Drilled it up to 16mm IIRC, but used the taper of the bit so its slightly wider on the inside than the top so there was room for a bit of jbweld

Doesn't cost to much for a ti coated one, and there super useful.
