Magma with a parallel 0.6ohm build

So I decided to build this as I saw a few vids on youtube about them and thought why not.....

It's basically 7 wraps of 28g kanthal wrapped round a 2mm drill bit and wicked with muji cotton and it hits like a runaway train! On my magma (clone) the flavour is awesome......

Now I just got myself some 24g kanthal and was about to build myself a new coil when I had a thought,,,,,, will my batteries be able to take the build I want to make ???

These are the batteries I have been running and they last me all day on my current build (use both 1for daytime 1 for night)



I was thinking of building a 24g parallel coil at about 0.25 ohms just wondered what peoples thoughts were regarding the batteries long winded way of getting there I know but I got there eventually

0.25ohms will be roughly 17 amps, so plenty of headroom on those batteries.

Just a thought but u might want to check your batterys with a volt meter as they might not be charged evenly as u have them in charge bay 2 and 3 some chargers if you gonna carge only 2 bats at a time should be charged in bay 1and3 or 2and4 .

It's a intellicharger i4 so not sure if it has to be in 1&3 and 2&4 or not but I will check that can't put them on a multi meter at the mo as don't have one right this second lol

Had a bit of a spat with another forum about this exact question so not sure if I should do the build or not now.... Think the 30amp battery should cope not so sure about the 20 tho

these 20A continuous discharge so as said above your build will be about 17amps so you will have headroom,

There is a data sheet somewhere with a list of batteries and the lowest build you can safely do on them which is about 0.1 - 0.3 ohm for purple efest 18650s (after a quick check)

Are u only using 1 battery at a time ifso dissregard what i said (just noticed they are differant rated batterys) so on that note you should be more than fine

I only ever use 1 battery at a time in my current build 28g parallel 0.6 ohm they last all day...

I might just have to give it a go

You can safely go down to .21ohm with a 20amp battery but should leave your self some leg room

Might add another wrap to the plan just to be on the safe side
