How To Make your coil wraps/turns neatly spaced when recoiling

Try this if your coils are uneven...it works for me.

Say you're trying to achieve 5 coils but the first one is unevenly spaced...wrap six coils instead (the last five of which will be even) then unwrap the first one.

You know it's so obvious when you say it but until you said I'd have struggled forever before that crossed my mind. Thank you :)

Been making my own coils nearly a year and not once did I think of that. Doh!

Great tip will be using it from now on, have been struggling to keep mine neat, thanks!:)

Great tip!!

I've got these to start making coils...........Stanley 66-052 6-Piece Precision Screwdriver Set

kuru coiler makes it so much easier perfect coils every time, they have a hole for the tag ends then just twist the coiler rather than trying to wrap the coils round a drill bit. just got one along with a gt2 from ft this week theyre great come with 2mm,2.5mm,3mm,3.5mm rods if i remember right, very handy though cost around £5.

thanks

thanks for the little heads up just seen rip tripper saying the same thing how mad.. must try on next rba coil

Protank coil. Gaps or squeezed tight

Have made protank coils for a while now as per rip trippers vids. He says you make sure the coil is squeezed tight then heated to stop them separating. Seems to work for me. When I mentioned that To another pro on you tube. He said that is totally wrong and you must leave gaps between the coiling as .
Obviously having gaps reduces the amount of wraps.
Your opinion:
Gaps or no gaps
