Making my own E liquid

What’s complicating things is that you’re trying to make a liquid with a certain ratio (80/20) using a mixture of liquids that are different ratios - 100% VG, 100% PG, and 80/20. The maths is much simpler if all the liquids you’re going to mix are either 100% PG or VG to start with. Have a look at some ‘mixing eliquid by weight’ videos on YouTube and use one of the liquid calculators, and you’ll see it’s pretty straightforward.

Hey guys back with another daft question .

Is making e liquid as simple as it sounds or are the factors i'm missing ?

For example right, i wanna make a litre of e liquid at 80/20 VG/PG so I'm going to mix 800ml VG with 200ml PG and add the appropriate flavourings to whatever recipe i'm following? Is it really that simple , Or is it more complex in practice?
Hi mate

Mixing is how u take it as u know about vg/pg however it does need breaking down

U need 3 to for 4 types of liquid vg
Pg
Flavouring which is pg base
And nic which is either pg or vg depending on what u get

Best option is download a mixing calculator app as some do have memory for saving recipes and changing measurements from volume or weight plus practise on 1 shot flavours before goi g onto complex mixtures

Thsnkd guys i genuinely appreciate the help and advice , I think your right , the trick is to start small and basic , The only reason for making a large quantity is if i could figure it out , I'd like to switch to DIY vape. and i go through about 50-100ml a week , my mrs is about the same , so i figured with flavours that take awhile to steep it would be prudent to have a reserve .

But i hear what you are saying and will start small and more cautiously . keep it on one flavour with a tiny starter sample to see I've got the numbers right

Have a look at this - even if you decide to use a different calculator. It`s the one I find easiest.

Very happy with that e juice me up program , not exactly what i was shooting for but I've managed to whip up a recipe I'm willing to try see how it goes . And is very simple to make .

Think I'm going to use concentration nation blue raspberry off Ebay , Not entirely sure yet tbh ... Shopping around on prices...

What % would you recommend ? 10%? Maybe 5 % ?

Also I'm reading up online and it seems higher VG is more difficult to get the flavour to mix , Probably not the best place to start on a practice run , my only concern is my wifes e cig is fine with thin liquids , mine can have a tendency to leak with thinner liquids its fine with anything thicker.

I’ve never heard of concentration nation @adrian_uk . It might be an idea to have a look in the mixology section on here or even start a post in there for some advice on a good raspberry concentrate. Maybe @StrawberryRipple likes raspberry and can recommend?

Looking at the concentration nation shop on ebay, they consistently refer to using their product as 'smoking' it. I'd avoid personally.

The Perfumers Apprentice and Flavorah's Raspberrys are candy style flavours

Capella and Inawera's Raspberrys are more lifelike IMO

plus there's loads of blue raspberrys as well, which I find all to be candy like also.

I usually make up a batch of 1% Raspberry (Inawera) with 1.5% Raspberry Sweet (TPA).

(all available for much cheaper at Vapable BTW, although postage may be a consideration)

1% seems really low , But you guys know more then i do , Why I'm asking so I'll start more around the under 5% marker and add more if i need to.

And i checked vapable your right it is cheaper , Thank you.

Also hoping to stick to one flavour initially to simplify my first run as much as possible , Thats why i adjusted the nic level so all i had to do was add one nic shot in the recipe , I'm really just aiming to make my first run as simple as possible . and go from there.nted

Are they always doing deals on vapable the PG and VG base are incredibly cheap at the discounted prices 4.99 a litre cheapest ive seen it
