Making my own E liquid

1% seems really low , But you guys know more then i do , Why I'm asking so I'll start more around the under 5% marker and add more if i need to.

And i checked vapable your right it is cheaper , Thank you.

Also hoping to stick to one flavour initially to simplify my first run as much as possible , Thats why i adjusted the nic level so all i had to do was add one nic shot in the recipe , I'm really just aiming to make my first run as simple as possible . and go from there.

Some concentrates, particularly some of the inawera and flavour art ones, are very strong and at more than 1-3% won’t taste good. Simply because the concentrates themselves are less diluted than others that might need 10-20%. Those ones just contain less flavour compounds and more pg.

I’d recommend starting with what @ObiWanVaponi suggests and increasing if it’s not strong enough, rather than the other way round, which might put you right off if it tastes like perfume.

My main priority is cheap honestly , I'm trying to make it cheaper then actually buying the juice already made.

With that said i don't want to be buying unsafe dodgy ingredients obviously.

Vapable do seems to have a sale on most of the time, I think this one has been going since the Xmas one finished :18: and there's 10% off here and there as well.

Inawera (and Flavour Art) concentrates are really really strong, and raspberry is quite a strong flavour already, so thats why the numbers are so low.
But then you may prefer it slightly stronger or weaker (hence making a small batch to start with) but actually, going much higher than sort of 2-3% doesn't always work because it can get sickly sweet or even mute the flavour after a certain amount.

With that recipe the Inawera is doing all the heavy lifting, with the TPA just fillig in the gaps.

Edit ninja'd by zou :assassin:

The Flavour art and Inawera concentrates are more expensive, but you use much less, so it works our cheaper. They are much better flavours as well. On Vapable Arte Italiane are Flavour Art rebranded. Although I haven't tried their Raspberry for some reason. Better get on that....:)

Blue Rasberry :hmm:
There are no rasberries i know of that are blue which is why there is often some confusion as to what a blue rasberry is supposed to taste like.
Some will say its a mix of blueberry and rasberry but i get the impression just from the name its like the blue slush puppy ice drinks.

Blueberry and rasberry will be straight forward but if its the slushy type then any run of the mill rasberry used over the recommend dose with a shed load of sweeteners added should be close.

Natural to form would for me be CCW rasberry at 8% and tfa blueberry extra added 3-4%.
Boysonberry at 1-2% would bring both together.

I was looking at the perfurmers apprentice blue raspberry you mentioned that looks interesting , They've definitely got a customer at those prices if they mantain them , I'll be getting my bases from them too , maybe even a few other items , I've seen cheaper nic shots elswhere , but even their relatively well priced there.

Last blue raspberry we had tasted like palma violets the shop sweet the Mrs really liked it and i thought it was Okay , So seems like a safe spot to start as we both liked the flavour , Although it depends whether i can replicate the flavour , But thats going to be the case with anything , Seems as good a place as any to start,

+1 for boysenberry.

I really didn't like TPA's Blue Raspberry, its got a really chemicaly sweetener aftertaste thats just nasty. But taste is subjective, it may not be as offensive to you.
I get the impression that its designed as an 'ingredient' type flavour thats used in recipes for slushies etc and not really any good as a stand alone profile.

if you have tried it and thats what you thought , I'll avoid it maybe i should go with inawera its slightly dearer but if im only needing to use 1%-3% its actually cheaper then something i'd have to use alot more of .

Definitely. Some of the cheaper brands really are a false economy.
Its worth looking around when you need more once you find a flavour you like, for example Darkstar vapour sell 30ml bottles of Inawera for £4 etc (and they have lots of sales too)

its on at 4.39 on vapable for 30 ml , I'm willing to pay that to be fair . if im going to get 60 50ml vape bottles out of it at 1% ,20 at 3% its a bargain 8-24p per bottle , the nicotine is coming in at 75p per bottle and the vg-pg is about 50p per bottle , so worst case scenario about £1.49 a 50 ml bottle .

Yeah vapable is who I use, very reliable, free delivery over a tenner plus if you use SPRING10 you get an extra 10 percent of site wise, just make sure when added together it's not under a tenner.
