Get yourself a cheap toothbrush, the real cheap own brand hard as bugger ones ( that you wouldn't want to use on your teeth lol )Recently bought the Nebula mech mod from M-Vapes (the SS one) as my first foray into the mech world - she's a fine little bit of kit I must say.
Any advice, hints or tips on cleaning it? Particularly the threads/contact etc.
Cheers
No real need in my experience if you do it regular like, but if its real shitty I tend to use a little olive oil ( dunno why, usually in the kitchen when I'm doing it ) clean with the threads with the tooth brush (splatters in ur face if not lol ) and then I sacrifice on of the OH round cotton pads ( not the muji! ) to wipe up the gunk, then I use another dry toothbrush to brush out the bits off cotton that get left behindGood shout.
Was wondering whether alcohol (cheap stuff...I'm Scottish, so mere thought of wasting boozed irks me) would be suitable?

I have a wet brush and a dry brush ( bit like shoe polishing)
I've just finished swabbing out my copper mech.
Used a couple of wet wipes and a blob or two of hand sanitiser stinky gel stuff. I'll second using an old tooth brush as well to get into the threads and any awkward wee nooks and crannies.
On my old Nemesis as it had a flat headed switch to battery screw I took an old nail file to scrape any crud off that.
So, wee bit of gel on the threads and a wee smear on the body and inside, scrub threads with toothbrush then wipe off. Swab all screw, magnets and other wee bits with wet wipe and tahhh dahhhh.
@andky how you enjoying mech life so far??
