What's new

mechanical or vv/vw

I think, if you're still at a stage where you have to ask, it's VV/VW (I include myself in that group).
I still can't see the advantage of having to faff around with precision resistance readings because the mech mod has a fixed output.
Gimme flexible power that allows for flexible coiling anyday.
Life's too short to spend most of it buggering about with ohms!
However, there are people who LOVE all that faff - it is for them that the mech mod exists!

I agree 100%, give me a VV/VW any day...

Faff, what faff? I wrap 4 coils round a stainless steel wick, it gives me 1.6Ω, less than 2 minutes, job done. I've got 3 Provari's, a vv/vw Tesla and a VTR. None give as good a vape as my mech nemesis, megaladon or my vela's. I agree that it is possible to be extremely anal about ohm's, watts and volts but it does't have to be that way.

We all at some point want the latest, greatest, must have mod, then latest, greatest must have atomiser, the latest, greatest must have this and that. As soon as we realise that nothing is really any better than and we get used to what we've already got then all the faff dissapears. Unless your using and ego, vision, glassoclearomiser type of thing.

To be honest, I just can't see the benefit of a mod that isn't variable - but I am conscious that this is partly to do with me being on the beginning of the mod journey. Still not convinced I'll ever want a mech, though

I never thought I'd ever wear a baby grow but I got bought a onesie for Christmas and now I don't wear anything else in the evening.

I used to be a big Provari fanboy, very big, to the exclusion of everything else. Not too sure where they both are now, in the back of a drawer somewhere since I got my Nemesis.

I'm at a similar stage too. I started on egos which are still my work vapes and have an MVP for at home...I've got a good selection of protanks, vivnovas and evods. Plus I'm really enjoying the Aerotank. I bought a cheapo rebuildable from TW and tbh it's a bit rubbish...I do like the look of a Kraken tank though.

I don't really see the point of going down the mech route meself at the moment. Too many options of mods, batteries, chargers etc. So I have almost talked myself of the mechs...

BUT! They are cheap on Slowtech, from $10 upwards and they are sooo shiny!

I'd consider one with a kick
I love the 134, but not its price tag, and FT have a "clone" (which I don't really consider a clone, as it's a mech, but it's modelled on the design).

I could consider this with a kick (not very well-versed with kicks, though - so I don't know how much it would detract from the overall look of it).

The kick sits inside and only thing have to think about is if it can fit still an 18650 or you have to use 18500's with kick, the Nemesis and some others come with a kick ring to use 18650, personally own evolve v2 and a standard but never use them as drip @ between 0.6-0.9 ohm so get far more wattage without, not sure even a mec with Kick is best first off though, I'd recommend a Vamo/SVD/MPV2 for beginner.

I have an SVD and love it. Still use the VV v3.0 out & about and the small egos for stealth
