Menthol in Disposables

It's funny because i love any type of Mint Sweets but can't really do with Menthol in a vape, I did have a Blackcurrant one a little while back and the Vape was nice, i think maybe because it was just a hint and not the blow your head off amount.

Does anyone have any idea why they are putting menthol in nearly all disposable vapes.
I do not understand why, menthol cigarettes were the least popular choice for smokers when they were available.

Because disposable vape flavours are nessassarily simple and not complex - because nic salt does not steep flavours into laters - menthol is easy, bang it in with everything - job done.

it is part of the current trend for dumbing down the industry.

You maybe getting slightly confused between mint an menthol - most do.

they are very different things. Mint tastes of well … mint and its cooling effect is very very mild - it actually has a flavour profile and can be nice to work with. And there are many different kinds.

menthol tastes of just menthol - and there is not a lot in it between menthols other than strength - it has a slightly medicinal mouthwash twang. It can be ok used in very small quantities in a mint sometimes - but use too much and it tastes like you would imagine toilet duck to taste. Its makes everything taste like tunes or cough sweets to me - its got a eucalptus twang to it.

Im not personally a fan. But it is easy to make a passable menthol juice - because menthol.

ws23 or its weaker cousin “koolada” are different again - no flavour profile, just cooling.

Ws stands for wilkinson sword - because it is the substance that gives their shave gel the cooling effect on your skin - and that is what it was created for.

it’s not even got the medicinal or eucalyptus vibe. i quite like medicinal, and eucalyptus. menthol is just a very one dimensional thing that’s like a tiny, tiny aspect of what you get from peppermint. and i probably only make that association because they put menthol in peppermint sweets to accentuate the effect. awful stuff imo.

Also salts are smooth, menthol will give them a wee dunt of throat hit...I would imagine

i think the OP was referring to the use of ws23 as menthol tbh
