Hi Apes,

Just a quick question on behalf of one of our customers.

He has recently purchased the EU version of the Sigelei MFENG kit but the tank has a large metal cylinder inside (to make it TPD compliant).

Is there any way to remove this metal cylinder to increase the capacity??

It seems so silly. Every other manufacturer would simply insert a rubber bung or a restricted glass with the intention that the user will later install a bubble glass.

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Thank you :)

If it's anything like the other couple of tanks I've seen with a metal reducer it's sweated into place - you'll be needing to cut it out.

Oh wow. Cut it out!? Doesn't sound good lol. Thanks for the advice @pdg .

No probs. But it's a pain - seen a few now where the only way to get it out is with a Dremel or grinder type thing (cutting stainless with a hand saw is a mission).

You might be able to press it off if you have access to a decent press and can fabricate a support and a tip - but at that point it becomes more of a "because I can" thing rather than an efficient modification...

Unreal. I can't understand how manufacturers release some of these products with such obvious flaws that will only damage their reputations. Thanks again @pdg but the customer will just have to take this one on the chin. Sad. But at least it's Friday though!! Hey Hey!!
