Afternoon all. Im going to make a new micro coil for my fogger and was wondering whats the best size wire to go for. At the moment i have one in there that i built but im not sure what size wire I used when i built it. Also i have the fogger vaping like a dream using cotton but im thinking of trying a build using silica or ekowool just to test it to see if i can get it running better. Anyone out there got any advice on this for me.

I always have good results wit .32 gauge kanthal at 8-10 wraps. The size is up to you really.

Depending on what it is going in I either use an M3 Machine screw for uniformed coils, or if I want them really small, I Wrap round a precision screwdriver, slide off, torch and press with pliers, back on screwdriver to make sure it is all uniform and torch one more time for good measure.

i use 8 wraps of .30 Kanthal around a 2.5mm precision screwdriver shaft, Pull tight and set the legs in position before removing and doing the squash and flame routine, since it's a good tough coil once built you should be able to swap wicks several times that should let you see what works best. My guess is cotton as long as you don't thread too much in and have it strangle...
