I too would go with the spinner or ego twist, I wish I had earlier... As the battery power dwindles you can up the voltage prior to replacement/charging. For me it should have been the natural progression, however I had ordered a few standard ego's which now are ornaments and almost redundant. Although the variable voltage ego types are a bit more pricey definitely worth the wee bit more investment, in my humble opinion.

I'm pretty sure the twist and spinner have regulated voltage output that maintains a steady output until the very last few draws, but what it does allow for is different resistance accessories and juices that you buy and more importantly differences in your DIY coil resistance. This means you get the best from your gear and juices.

Remember that the addition of VV on batteries such as this loose about about 30% efficiency (general rule of thumb), becuase of the extra electronics and so on. This means the VV 650 mAh will give you a shorter battery life than the non VV 650 mAh ego style batteries! I reckon the 1300 is a better buy..
