Mod/Battery - Recommendations

I have the vc4, it will charge 21700 in the outer bays and 18650 in the centre bays at the same time, but if all you have is 21700 not much good, could always return the vc4 and purchase 2 vc2s instead if 21700 is all you use

Thanks Cozy,

Yeah, it seems to be conflicting information across places, with an Amazon review saying it won't charge them, but checking the Xtar website direct, it says it does, and the Fogstar site half suggests it does.

21700 is all I plan to use, although the vc4 is only a couple of pounds more expensive, perhaps it's worth picking up another one of those, just in case I ever want to use those middle slots for something else. At least I'm 100% sure the 21700 fit in the outer bays too.

I do also quite like the look of the PB2S, which suggests it fits the 21700, which could be useful to double as a power bank

You'll more than likely at some point end up with 18650 single or dual mods anyway so probably worth it, the vc4 will charge the 21700s at 1amp if only those inserted, if you add 2 18650 to the middle slots they will all charge at 0.5amp, to be honest how many 21700 are you using at the same time, as i would just charge the pairs when others in use and visa versa unless your running 2 or more dual 21700's I wouldn't think you would need to charge more than 2 at a time

I plan to have 2 mods running, that are both dual 21700's, so I picked up 8 batteries. My thinking being, 4 in the mods and 4 spares, and charge when I replace, so I've next to no chance of ending up with no power.

That's part the reason I'm shaping more towards the PB2S now - Use the vc4 I have no for standard day to day charging, and have the PB2S on standby for when I travel. Might as well have a travel version that doubles as a power bank for times when I'm away from home or the office eh?

Can recommend the PB2S, quick charge, multi cell & power bank.

Let us know what the mod is like. I'm thinking of getting this also

Badayuni - Regarding the Uwell Evdilo - I'm quite impressed with this mod. Overall, it's about as basic as it gets. Its got a power mode and temp mode, 3 quick presses on the fire button lets you switch between the two, both let you adjust the setting up and down in values.

It reads the coil perfectly, and fires with zero delays - It also has a nice little function where you can keep it on but lock all the buttons, pressing fire and down together for a second, locks it.

With 2 x 21700 batteries installed, it's 288g in weight, but doesn't feel drastic in the hand. It actually fits quite nice in a hand, and feels very solid.

Time will tell on the battery compartment - It's a little clip on the bottom, slide it in and the whole back of the machine slides down and off. Very easy to get into the batteries, my hope is that the clip/switch is made well and stays strong.

In the display, it shows at the bottoms a little reader for each battery, each one showing 5 sections of power. I've been vaping at 70W for 7 hours so far (quite heavy use), and each battery shows as 4 out of 5 bars still remaining. I'll update when I've got the batteries to near zero, to say how long they last.

I'm running it with the Innokin Scion II and Innokin Plex tanks, and have absolutely no complaints on the setup at this point (it's still day one). Very happy with the purchase

Thanks for that much appreciated. The only thing that's putting me off is the battery tray. My first impression was that it wont hold up in time

Please let me know in due course If it doe . Also how long did you get out of your charge?

I was going to say reading your earlier posts that you'll likely get two full days vaping using P42a's - looks like you might even make it to day three on them!

Yesterday, 12 hours of vaping, then slept, and had an hour on it this morning - It's currently showing as two and half bars left on each battery. So I'm thinking I'll get 24 hours of vaping from this setup. (I like how it shows the bars in half too never noticed that yesterday)

The battery clip/switch is certainly the potential weak point - I'm not massively careful with my machines, so I'll update if thing falls apart. There is a decent safety measure that if the tray is open at all, the vape shuts straight off, so my guess is the whole mod is useless if that clip breaks.

Little bit of an update - Day 2 on the same batteries, I've been on it 11 hours today, and both battery readings have just gone down to 1 out 5 left. Should get a total of 24 hours out of it easily.

Safe to say the battery life should be absolutely fine for my needs. Thanks for all the advice guys
