I don't like the look of those things and want a more 'traditional' tube type mod.

My POV is that my Vamo had really shit plating, as Whit said the black comes off as you look at it. It's a state now and only gets pressed into service as an ohm-meter when I can't find my multimeter.

I do like the Zmax V3, it just feels better built, and looks better, because it is better built.

Plus, it really goes well with the Kayfun-Lite. Who needs a Semovar?!

I reckon the plating would be the same on that as the Vamo.

Yep and at 40 quid from Mostly link its a no brainer, especially if you've already got battery's and a charger

Not tried a KMax but travel adapters coming as part of kits make me sad.

Of the tube mods currently available I'd recommend a v3 Zmax or an SVD or a Vamo. Which one is best comes down to which looks you prefer and how much your budget is.

As long as it's s/s, although I must say my V3 Vamo, which is a lot thinner than the V2, is showing no signs of wear at the minute.
