More negative e-cig news in the Sun 22nd May

A two page spread in The Sun today and unfortunately it was not nice reading. The article droned on about how some teenager started using e-cigs after trying her friends and now she has "all the flavours!" It was very gateway to smoking heavy which seems the new pathway the haters are taking atm. What really annoyed me was that all the references were to the cig-a-likes and how celebrities are making them attractive to kids - probably because they were given them free at some party! Anyone else read it, thoughts?

Funnily enough this wasn't mentioned in the very one sided article, as wasn't the very recent research on the giving up with e-cigs.

Did it happen to mention whether the said teenager, with all the flavours. Was a smoker or non-smoker, ex-smoker or never smoked.
Also, any mention of nicotine level in said flavours. They could well all be nic free.

If a never smoker, will they follow through, to see if they become a smoker. Assuming that they could guarantee that the teenager wasn't destined to become a smoker away, without ecigs.

The whole thing gets blown out of the water, when you look at how many young people (and older ones), have started smoking in the years between. When the total ban on tobacco advertising came into effect. And the ecig first came onto the market.

the guy in my local vape shop showed me the article,all the points that were made were not backed by any reason or thought (what a surprise) so what if they vape its better than them smoking the gateway thing is laughable if they vape something that tastes nice then they try a cigarette they soon realise they taste like crap & they will go back to vaping, a slow news day so they got some dimwit to write a poorly researched article about vaping that served no purpose other than to fill 2 pages.personaly not bothered because the sort of people who buy the sun walk around dragging there knuckles on the floor & dribbiling uncontrollably,the people who we need to get to listen to us are the ones in power & the people who are experts in there field with 100 of them on our side we would make more of an impact on perception of vaping than with 1000000 sun readers!
