More negative e-cig news in the Sun 22nd May

Shisha pens don't have nicotine in them. Just flavour.

I now have a copy, (puts plasters on knuckles)

Direct quote
It was the sweet flavours that enticed teen vaper Lily Howes to quit cigarettes and swap to e-cigs

And again, direct quote.

it is a similar story for Ella Williams, an ex-smoker

It says Ella is 18. And has been vaping for over a year.

I can't be asked to read all of it. But it does clearly show, that e-cigs are a gateway for young people. It also clearly demonstrates in which direction the gateway swings.

And as I've only just noticed while typing, (first quote) if it wasn't for the sweet flavours, Lily Howes might well still be a smoker.

The top heading of the pages states,
Business bid to get teens hooked on nicotine

And yet the first two teens mentioned and quoted by them, are both ex-smokers, thanks to e-cigs.

Sorry my head hurts now, gone for a lay down.

It pisses me off all this negativity.........time for a vape.

When you start to read the sun article, it doesn't come across as negative as I think they where trying for. There's to many pluses for the sweeter flavours, and young people quitting tobacco because of the same.
I'll read the rest tomorrow, and see what else is says.

Yawn, why bother reading the sun? Last time I saw it, it hurt my eyes as it was so bright though living in Wet Cumbria it was a once in a lifetime event:P

Right it is all your fault, you made me read the Sun :(

Someone had a copy down the pub tonight so I had a quick read. The majority of it was typical tabloid reporting. Sentences that started with a fact and then twisted it to meet the journalists agenda. However the statement that particularly disgusted me was where they took the fact that the majority of teens (and bear in mind all examples in the article we're in their late teens/early twenties) who had vaped had also smoked and used the percentages, tenses and juxtaposition to suggest that the vaping had taken place before the smoking.

Typical bloody Sun. Everyone knows it's intercourse before smoking.

Give be a break, teens are going to be teens. They are going to experiment with a whole lot more than e-cigs. It just human nature. Would all the do gooders like to lock all the teens away to save their souls. What a pile of steaming dog crap.
