Mums call for ban after girls buy 'e-cigarettes' at Tamworth market

Agree that it all seems a bit whiffy. More so when one of the mums fits the righteous ban-before-thinking criteria. Works for publicly funded org, and is mucho interested in lefty campaigns.

Reckon the kids were caught with them, mums did some Googling, went on the attack against 'evil smoking industry' cos their kids are angels really, innit.

The market seller still deserves a slap, mind.

The problem here? Idiocy, lets ban that!
Oh wait..... there would be no effective government left, but there would be a distinct lack of Stupid parents, politicians, so on and so forth!
I think the local newspaper should be called to count as well as the market trader AND the parents, bloody scaremongering, i am surprised they havent started an FB campaign to out all evil ecig 'smokers' because we are killing everyone in a poisonous fog of cancerous chemicals and we are causing the global polution of the planet!
In fact we are so bad and disgusting, that the devil himself wouldn't have us as he wouldn't want to lower himself or even choke on voluminous clouds of DEATH!
Those women are COCKJUGGLINGTHUNDERC@NTS!!!!

stinks to high heaven of a put up job has anyone investigated if the mother knows any journalists - i totally agree with what has been said by others these parents probably dont give a toss usually until something like this comes up and yes as the girls were old enough they knew what they were buying and were well within their right to buy it mother should be annioyed with them and not the world of law abiding vapers like ourselves - shady market guy though someone should cut his hands off and make a box mod with em. KEEP VAPING PEOPLE

theres no restriction on selling ecg mods, batteries and the like so in all fairness only thing the trader has sold against the law is the juice.. and that part of the story is iffy in itself.. no law stating you cant buy a battery or charger or even a clearo.

No decent vendor would knowingly sell vape gear to an under 18 and as has alreadu been said, this story sounds like a set up. Won't someone PERLEEEEEASE think of the children? etc. ad nauseum.

On the plus side, if those girls do grow up to become vapers, they're in the unofficial vaping mecca of England and probably wouldn't have far to travel to vapefest. ;)

Straight away they blame not only the market trader but the whole e-cig world, instead of looking at themselves and taking responsibility of not knowing where their daughters were or what they were doing.

Like someone already said, we don't see massive headlines because a kid got drunk or because a kid bought a packet of fags or even drugs. It's not big news any more.
But e-cigs, again, are the bandwagon everyone wants to jump on.

What selfish mothers, wanting to ban e-cigs because their daughter's managed to get hold of some.

Do they also want alcohol banned then? ...because kids do get their mitts on that too! Alcohol can kill you but an e-cig is relatively harmless.
Where's the reasoning?

BTW, nice matching pink evod and battery, I have the very same one, good taste :D

I wrote something very similar but deleted it because it contained more abusive words.

I like abusive words.

Just Had a good look at the picture under my loupe, Its a CE6 blister pack, bog standard bulk buy, probably a knock off with a crap battery. Trouble here is the trader needs a slap with house brick for selling age restricted products to minors and also needs a visit from trading standards, and what the hell were the parents doing? and more importantly, why call the newspapers instead of heading down the market and nutting the trader?:violin:

I wonder if the market trader even sold them to the girls? They could have easily got older teens to buy them for them and then blamed the market trader so they didn't get the teens in trouble?

I remember getting older boys to buy my booze and fags as a young teen.

I also wonder if the girls went home and showed their mums or did the mums find them with the e-cigs?
