My first build ever.

Ok so I decided to get a kayfun V4 clone (cant afford genuine one). Only issue is, never built a coil before. So kayfun sat in a box for a week till i bought the gear needed and read all the stuff and watched all the videos.

I used steam engine to get the numbers. So I used 28awg Kanthal, 8 full wraps round a 2mm bar. Was aiming for 1.2 ohms.





Has come out at 1.25 ohms.
Had to make 4 coils as broke three trying to get them on the deck.

Vape is just lovely, got a dry hit and noticed i had vaped the whole tank so now on my second tank full.

So is there anything I should be doing that Im not? different wire? build? Not really interested in going sub on the kayfun I have a gimlet if I wanna sub ohm.

I'll be keeping an eye on this myself as my story is about the same. Only difference is that my wire hasn't arrived yet. K4 has been cleaned and that's it so far.

Looks storming mate & if you went through a tank without a hiccup then you're on the money. Also i think your 1.2ish coil is in the right territory, nothing to gain from sub ohming it, jsut turn up your wattage if want to burn it.
