My First Build

You shouldn't need to take them right out mate (depending on the hole size/coil thickness/design, I suppose) I've never had to ... just unscrew them enough to make the hole big enough to get the wire though.
They came unscrewed and had to initially screw them in. So bloody tiny. Had to use the missus' tweezers.

Do it! The flavour is ace and it's easier to manipulate. If I can do it on my first build, anyone can!

Wait 'til you try the 'Helix' twisted coils laddie.
Get your usual twisted wires then try wrap a far thinner wire into the grooves. Just watch out as it will lower the resistance a bit, but looks flash as frak!
And it is a good exercise in patience and persistence...

I think that's a very respectable first build - I'd have been well chuffed with that! :)

Thanks Crewella! Just gutted the dual coil didn't work out for me. Will have another bash at it at some point. Got another dripper coming on Tuesday, goon rda. Will build the dual twisted kanthal on that!

Don't forget that for a dual coil the resistance is halved. The calculator will work it out for you:

It really is worth doing the research and making sure you understand the principles involved. Good luck! :D

Got Vape Tool on my phone. Can choose the twisted kanthal and set how many strands I've used and what gauge. I think what I was doing wrong last time was getting confused with the half turns for legs.
