My new Geekvape Aegis Legend 2 (L200) Firing very hot and burning coils

Erm...OK So I was reading some good reviews (on here btw) about the new Nautilus 2/3 1ohm mesh coils. I then found out they do the .7 ohm mesh for the Tigon. As some were saying the .7 was nice for a more open vape I thought I'd try some on the Tigon beofre trying a new Nuatilus 3. Firstly, yes they are much nicer coils IMO. Then I thought I'd try the new coils on the Legend 2 just for giggles before I send it back.
So, been vaping anywhere between 12 and 20w on these new coils on the Legend 2 and not a hint of burnt vape in sight (so far).
Really wierd.
All I can summize is that whatever is going on with the new chipset in the Ledgend 2 its just not happy with either the specific 1.ohm tigon coils, or 1ohm coils in general- although it is rated for them.
I guess I'll try it for a few days and see how I get on but yeah - really likining these mesh coils.
could just be a dodgy box of 1ohm coils. ive had anything upto four dead coils in a box of five in the past but different make. so it does happen.

Not sure if thats the case. I regularly swapped them out onto my old Legend 1 with same settings and it was fine. Also tried 2 different packs of coils.
Ah well, at least for now looks like I get to keep the Legend 2.

Firstly, Hello.

I've been vaping for many years and have always come to this site for the great advice and feedback and I finally need post to maybe get some opinions.
For the last couple of years I have settled into making my own juice recipe and using an Aegis Legend (awesome btw) with a Tigon tank and 1.2ohm coils. I vape arround 7.8 watts as my juice is 80%PG due to a bit of an intolerance to VG.
So I thought I'd upgrade my mod and grabbed a legend 2 from vapeclub.co.uk.
Problem is, straight away it started really burning my coils. Twice I even saw it burn so hot the coil lit up bright red like there was an LED in my tank.
Sometimes I'd get a steady vape, then a while later it would burn again.
I tried in both power and variable curve mode but same issues and tried coils from different packs.
I'm guessing its faulty but I'm a little concerned as the feedback on the phone with Vapeclub was that 'it must be my coils' even though I was swapping the tank over to my Legend 1 and it was working fine as always so if its something I'm missing I'd rather figure it out before sending it off for them to check out.
Has anyone had any issues like this or maybe know of something that might cause this?
I though maybe it might be a preheat/boost setting but I went through the whole menu and couldnt find anything.

(BTW off topic, but it looks like the Nautilus 3 has a similar design to the Tigon which I really like so thinking of trying that and their 1 ohm mesh coils.)
Evening folks I have an update from geekvape i to has the same problem as the op I got in contact with cs and they said they would send a replacement out, just before they were ready they said they had a problem with the legend 2 and it was being pulled from production and I said was it because of said problem and they said it could be

A slightly old post, but I just created an account because I have the exact same mod and the aspire nautilus 3s tank and the low wattage coils all fry almost immediately. Even with the 18-23 watt 0.7 ohm coils I still notice the mod jolts a high wattage at first before going to the set wattage. Almost like it's in bypass mode for like 50-100ms... cooks the suckers. I've also tried the reset.

Hi @Fusky The Husky and welcome to the planet.

the other two above havnt logged in since april last year so wont get any feedback from them.
when you screw the tank on what is the ohm reading on the screen.first box below the wattage.
also what juice and vg/pg are you using and also are you priming the coil first and starting at a much lower wattage. drip juice on all the cotton around the coil, fill up and if you are going to vape at 20watts then start at 10watts and take a few small puffs then turn up a watt every few puffs. this will help bed in the coil.
alternatively it could be a falty batch of mods. luckily ive had no issue with mine but i vape at 50watts so cant compare to mouth to lung vaping.
