So I am new to vaping her in Scotland and enjoying it so far but I’m not sure I’m doing it right.

I was sold an aspire flexus q system as a beginner and have used 1.0ohm and 0.6ohm coils. I have only really used nic salts right up to 20mg and down to 5mg.

I started MTL but now prefer a more DTL experience but think this is slightly restricted on the flexus with airflow wide open.
Can you advise what’s the best approach? Am I using the right e liquid - usually element frost at the moment.

I’m sure these questions have been asked a thousand times over by newbs already so I appreciate any answers

Hi @DaveCarrick

Ok, shirt answer is you will not achieve a dtl vape with this kit. Its mtl and rtl only.
Also salts should be used for mtl due to the hugh nic content.

If you want dtl you will need a different kit.

Nic salts are perfect for what you have but if u move to Direct to lung you need a freedbase 70/30 upwards juice depending on the coil. 50/50 salts will be too thin for a 0.15 to 0.5

Im not into dtl personally as i prefer a tighter draw with nic salts.

Does that help?

Thanks much appreciated. Don’t know if I even have the right setup to be honest, could have been sold a pile of shit

thanks for the reply. The aspire flexus comes with 0.6 and 1.0 coils. What would you reccomend?

never worry about asking questions no matter how silly you may think they are they are usually not when it comes to vape and everyone is different so its never a bad thing to ask again.

there are hundreds of different kits out there so to help others advise further what are you actually after.
when did you stop smoking and how many a day for how many years.
how long since your last cig.
with the nic salts you have used so far are you continuously hamering it and its never out of your hand or do you just pick it up now and again.

then if your after a direct to lung with big clouds we can work out what nicotine strength you need. DTL are best with 3mg or max 6mg for the average user. using nic salts in these kits is a no no as you will get nic od and feel sick with a headache. its just a warning sign to stop vaping for an hour or two. ive only tried salts a couple of times and got the head rush as i have a kit in my hand every waking hour.

are you after a smallish kit like you have, something a little bigger upto say 80watts or a full on kit with upto 220watts.
if you decide on a medium or full big kit then you will most prob need 18650 batteries and an external charger.
the outlay at first does hit the pocket but it wont take too long to be saving money. took me around a year but i was buying every kit out there and got enough juice to fill a bath twice over.

You 100% havent been sold a pile of shit lovely.

Its a good kit, i reviewed for uk aspire vendor.

But its more MTL and RTL

That liquid is fine for both coils no problem

What is it thats bothering u or what is it you are missing or wanting specifically?

Have u looked at the lost vape ursa mini? I think that one is really geared to dtl
