I came across this info this morning but had to go out before having time to post.
Looks like Thor owned a company that boasted exclusive distribution rights on a mobility scooter which was struck off and forcably disolved in January this year. Have a flick on this link.

I remember there was a huge uk scam similar to this where folks were duped into forking out £100 and agreeing to provide information for surveys in return for a PC valued at £499 which of course was fictional. The company did distribute 100 units to try and give of the impression was above noard but took orders of 650,000 yes scammed £650,000 before people realised but the company fled abroad. They repeated the scam in Canada and Australia.
The company started out calling themselves Smart talk uk ltd then changed their name part way through the scam and called themselves info4pc.
