Need a Mod / Tank / Coils please !! :)

Hi all,

I want to stop smoking ciggys and looking for a DTL kit.

I'm not new to vaping but i've not vaped for 2 years so my knowledge is lacking in the market place.

40W vaping is what i used to do with an istick 100w mod with baby beast mini coils but i used to get alot of leaks. happy to move onto 18650 batteries (if they are still he type to buy?) and i used to sub ohm vape if that any help... sorry people thats about all the info i can think that's relevant. Don't mind spending upto £100 for everything

Can anyone give some advice on a mod and tank that won't leak please.... many many thanks in advance!

edit thinking of getting the uwell crown 4 , assume samsung 25r are the batteries of choice ?

Any dual 18650 mod you like the look of, if going for stock coils I'd go for a freemax mesh pro with double or triple mesh coils, freemax mesh pro overall is 28mm diameter so look for a mod that could accept that size, you may get a little leaking if you leave filled for a length of time, only tank that would be leak free normally would be a top air flow but for flavour not much at the moment beats the freemax mesh pro, can get from UK but it will be 2ml compliant and some suppliers send the bubble glass seperate to increase capacity but if can wait you will get full capacity ordering from China and normally will be cheaper on tank and coils

I bought a Smok Majesty today. Seems ok for the money.

Whats the deal with temerature controle ss / ni etc.... aint got a clue about that stuff. Vaping at 66w on the X baby 0.4 ohm coil.

i'll take your advice and order a bigger glass jobbie

hopefully that kit will work for you but theres not a lot of love for smok anymore especially their coils with so many reports saying your lucky to get a couple of days out of them and naff coils in the box as well.

forget TC temp control. ive been vaping over 4 years and only tried it twice and much prefer wattage.
if you do want to try TC then SS stainless steel coils work in both wattage and TC but Ni nickel or Ti titanium must only be used in TC mode.

yeah smok isnt the best way to go , especially if leaking is a major issue for you , The smok mods aint as bad as the tanks, the mods just tend not to last from smok but the time they do work they tend to do what their supposed to , The tanks however are prone to leaking with terrible coils and the tanks i experienced forever get jammed , not an issue i had with my falcon king tank, freemax tanks or zenith tanks , but personally i would not advise either, See how you go but you may find yourself replacing atleast the tank .

I wanted to get the crown v4 but they had no stock so bought the kit & got 2 coils as normal i'll see how it goes. If it starts leaking i'll defo change the tank/coils.

last time i vaped i was using baby beast which airflow came from the bottom, i'm assumed as the airflow is at the top this would help.... hmm

On a separate note, looking for a slim or compact mod for nights out. any recommendations ?

Depends what your after if your after a small mod n tank , my wife loves her coolfire mini with the zenith tank , just make sure you don't get the one with the slipstream its not tiny but its pretty small , heard alot of good things about the juul if your after a pod system , Though haven't personally used it , same with the vim also a pod system. both very small , There are tonnes of options out there though.

Also i know someone who swears by the vype epen 3 its very portable again a pod system , I've tried it personally not for me not powerful enough , But its small its not going to leak . and somethng easy to take out.

opposite of above, i found the juul to be kak and much preffered the blu pod, and thats saying something.
that was until the smok nord came along. i know i mentioned above about smok crap coils but these small coils in their pod are rather good so far but only had it a couple of weeks.
