What's new

need a new mod....advice welcome

Armour Pro is easier, especially if using 21700 battery. Only one to worry about.

And fasttech, 3fvape and vapecrawler are useful for vape gear. Just have to wait ages as it all comes from China.

Just don't buy batteries from China, as you never know what you're going to get.

@Leni
The pics should speak for themselves.
Angled grooves top left and right paint gone. Right next to the right top groove paints litteraly flaking away.
Bottom right groove paint fell off. Had nothing to do with the flattening of the sharp edges as the paint around those points is still there, just tiny bits gone where the contact to flatten them was made.

Bottom right from the usb is not a shiny spot, its a large bit of paint dropped off. Top right of the fire button too. This side of the mod had no sharp points. When I take it out it sits in my cars cup holder surrounded by foam. Its not from rough treatment, its from low quality.
Uh, yeah

I would say the build quality isn't the best.
This was after about 3 months of use. I must admit I'm not super gentle with my mods as I work a physical job, but I would still expect better.
It's now retired as although I can live with the paint work failing and a missing magnet on the battery door, I can't live with the fact that the fire button sticks down!

Agree totally with STAVROS ENVORIDIS, stay well away from SMOK. Seriously, No!

Mr Teapot, looks like you could put the Geekvape Aegis range and Vandy Vape Jackaroo through their paces.

What I have to look forward too. At least your usb connection looks straight.

So far my Aegis legend is holding up pretty well. The only real wear to it is to the fire button, + - buttons and scratches on the screen. I've been using it for about 4/5 months at this point

Can't really help you bud , I'm still looking for a mod myself thats reliable and going to put my smok i priv as my back up, Looking for something that matches my freemax mesh pro tank , and isn't a smok ... will probably take me awhile though

Thought i would just give an update.....
Thanks for all the suggestions, and ive listened......
Ive gone for an external battery mod, a vaporesso, and really couldnt decide between the polar and the armour pro. The armour pro seemed the most popular choice, so ive gone for the polar!! I like the look of it more, thats the only reason really.
So ive bought the polar kit £34, x4 of the 3000mah 18650 batteries from fogstar, and a xtar charger.
Ive also bought an innokin isub b tank to replace my isub g which i have knackered, as i have a canny supply of isub coils.
That should keep me happy for a good while now, thanks for all your help, and suggestions.
Hopefully all should be here by the weekend.

adrian_uk, you could look at Smoant Naboo mod. That may match up reasonably and Smoant do make some decent mods.

Snaggletooth, glad you're sorted. Can't go too wrong with any Vaporesso mod, it should serve you well for a long time. Or until shinyitis kicks in.

Ive been using the polar for a few days now and its great. I dont know why i was so against going down the external battery route, its actually much easier.
Thanks to the replies on here i feel i have made an informed, and correct decision on my purchases. The mod is great, the batteries from fogstar (i bought x4 of the samsung 30q as recommended) the xtar vc4, and also an innokin isub b tank to use the coils i already have and are a doddle to dry burn and re-wick. Im on coil no.5 out of a box of 5 i bought in october 2017!! Ive got another two boxes of them.....
I had a 1.0ohm isub coil in @ 20w and the batteries lasted from 9.00am until 11.30pm yesterday. It was something like 320 puffs and a total puff time of 36 minutes. That included virtually chain vaping watching Sunderland losing to bloody coventry 5-4.
The tank that came with the mod, i think its called a cascade? It holds something like 6ml once the silicon bung is removed and i really like that as well. The polar, on auto, puts it at 55w, and i really like the vape from that. I just dont fancy buying the coils for it.
Its easy to go onto a forum and ask for advice, but i think its good that the people who have taken the time to give you the advice, know that it has been listened to.
So, thanks for all the advice, it was really appreciated.
