I came across the story on the BBC news website : Smoker's son, 2, to be adopted because of health risk - BBC News
Notice how the headline proclaims that the child of a smoker is being put up for adoption?
Inside the article, it also suggests that the child has been generally neglected and one of the parents is a cocaine user.
Why are child neglect and cocaine use relegated to bit parts and smoking given the 'starring role' in this story?
Simple enough answer, this story is just a small part of an ongoing, decades long campaign to demonise smokers/smoking. The 'tame', controlled mainstream media seem to take every opportunity to proclaim the evils of smoking (and smokers) as a matter of course.
The fact that we are seeing demands for bans on vaping in public is all linked in with this demonisation. We have all been programmed for such a long time now to accept smoking as evil, that anything that resembles smoking is unconsciously, yet literally, tarred with the same brush.
If you want to find anything to blame for the public's misconception of the 'dangers' of vaping (and in particular, 'passive vapour') then you need look no further than articles such as the one linked at the top of this post. (The recently released survey by ASH sees increased levels of misinformed people when it comes to vaping, as seen in the great article by Mawsley : Smokefree Britain Survey 2015 | Planet of the Vapes )
The BBC article is a prime example of neuro-linguistic programming and applied behavioural psychology techniques that are routinely applied within the mainstream media to program... literally brainwash the public.
Don't accept every headline you read as a true representation of the overall facts, particularly headlines/articles produced by the corrupted BBC.
