Someone bought my missis an E-Lites starter set for Christmas, maybe 3 years ago, we were really excited, if it worked for her I was gonna get one too.
after a week of dual-fueling, she just couldn't be arsed with ti any more, it didn't feel like smoking, it didn't give her enough nicotine, the flavour wasn't good.
I had about 5 drags on it and thought it was shite. The E-Lite kit is in the drawer in the kitchen, you know the one with empty disposable lighters, string, old phone chargers, keys that don't seem to go anywhere etc.
At the start of this year a lad at work started wandering about with a Vapouriz starter kit, 650maH battery, ce4 tanks, and I started at him all pessimistic, 'oh me and the missis tried them a few years ago, you'll be back on the fags before long'
(he is as it happens anyway)
Then one day I was in a van with him and noticed this Vapouriz set seemed to be putting out a fair bit of vapour, and he asked if I wanted a try, I had a couple of tokes and came home from work that day and ordered me and the wife a starter set each. I was evangelical about how these new vapes pissed on the old cigalikes etc. However me and the wife continued to dual fuel. And I didn't like the burnt taste that came after about half a tank. or the limited battery life.
So got bigger batteries etc, moved onto ce5s, I thought they were amazing, . Then started mixing juice, then found vaping forums and got a Spinner and an Aerotank, then a vamo, then a kayfun atty, now use a couple of mechs, a couple of kayfun tanks, and a couple of drippers. No looking back, I have no intention of giving up nicotine,nicotine now is about more than just smoking, it's more like wine appreciation, finding the flavours etc, how thedifferent flavours develop and work or not as the case may be.
Anyway, neither of us smoke now. But cigalikes put a halt on us looking for an alternative, they were the visible alternative, and they didn't work....I'm convinced they don'tget through juice to give a smoker the required amount of nicotine.
Sadlythe ladat work who introduced me to it went back on the fags, i think the ce4 ce5 route is a stepping stone, but not the end of smoking for most people
Having said all this I actually started vaping in 2008, with a Magic Flight Launch Box and an Arizer Xtreme, but thats another story and not for this forum.
