never given that a ? would Imagine a couple of pages with info. its the whole design thingy. there's loads of sites with free templates but not found many that look the biz if you ya no what i mean, and then its costing and other extras that will probably pop up
Don't know where to start with it all. Do i need to start buying books on HTML ?

If you want to develop a website without paying someone else to do it for you, HTML is exactly where you need to start. W3Schools has some excellent tutorials and they are free. You can learn just as much there as from any book. Once you get a grip on HTML, learn CSS, then PHP. Once you have got PHP down, any other language you want to learn, such as javascript, will be much easier. MySQL is pretty handy to know as well if you ever want to do anything with databases. I first started learning web development in 1995, and I am still learning. It is not something you will master in a weekend. If you want to use a WYSIWYG editor, it will still help to know HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and Javascript.

I know it sounds like a lot of stuff to learn, but I taught myself basic HTML and CSS in a couple of days. With just that knowledge, you can build a pretty decent website. Its once you get into PHP and Javascript that things start getting a little tricky but much more awesome.

If you have specific questions, feel free to shoot me a pm or use the Contact Us link on my website.
