Hi all new to vaping well about 4 days.. i got my first vapor the kamry k100 based on reviews and the fact its completely repairable and user friendly to atomizers etc plus think the ce4 etc just look to flimsy.. .

anyways this is where im a little confused i bought a viva nova clearomizer (hope im correct) 1348074565_16.jpg it reads 2.4ohms on the inside.
my problem is my battery (icr 18650 2000mah 3.7v13d) gets extremely hot after a few seconds an i mean hot to touch

if anyone could help me possibly point me in the direction of were im going wrong id be grateful

cheers absodonkers vape on :-)

Sounds like the coil has a short, have you got another coil you can test it with?
OR, a multimeter you can measure the resistance through?
Had that happen on one of my old devices that's now dead as a result, so seriously, be careful!

hi thanks for the speedy reply.. when u say coil do u mean the bit inside the clearomiser because i hvae spares for inside the viva nova clearomiser, and as for clearomisers i own like 3 more which all work perfect.. sorry for my dumbness but im totally new so still in learning.. :-)

ive replaced the coil inside the viva nova now put some ejuice in so just gonna let that soak for 5 minutes before testing.. if it over heats am going to scrap the viva nova head and use my others. :-) fingers crossed

Before you scrap it, have a look at some of the tutorials to re-wire and re-wick them!
They're probably the easiest ones I've done as long as you remember the basics :)

Fully expect that to work M8, but keep the old coil for rebuilding at a later date when your ready to try
Bugger Raguri you beat me to it lol

The main problem with mechanical mods, is that they have no form of short protection unless you buy a 'drop in' fuse! If you do start to rebuild your heads, I'd invest in a mutlimeter so you can avoid your battery soldering itself to the spring...

cheers guys ill look into this all.. tbh ive just had a look on the internet and im thinking my vivi nova clearomizer is a fake.. but now ive done a little more research and my k100 only says k100 on it... looking at pictures on the internet iv noticed they say kecig k100.. were as mine only says k100.. can anyone help on identifying if it is fake..IMG_0285.jpg

cheers again absodonkers
