new to dripping, how do i do it 'right'?

Just dropped one of my evods on and it registered over 5. Think ive a faulty reader

Check the screws are down tight and no loose wires touching base or sides?

Nothing that i can see. Took batteries out, swapped them round. Dripper reads 3.04 evod now 3.46

Dripper with no coil / wick flickers between 1.00 and 0.27

Dopped a volt meter on my nem then connected the dripper and it registers 3.46-3.60 at various presses.

Ideas?

lining the air hole up is very important few degrees of and the vape will be shit, get it lined up like my pic and your good
on a mech you really want below 1.8 ohm
when you've built your coil pulse it by pressing the button, you want it to glow even from the inside out, if not tweak it till it does

Havent a chance at building coil / wick before the weekend

Don't want sound funny or anything but make sure your coil is not touching the posts or base. Just a suggestion

sounds like a short connection or poorly made coil. for something that size it really should be sub 2 ohms at least and thats why your getting very little in way of throat hit / vape. if you cant fix it tonight i can make a few coils up and pop em in post with some cotton wool then you just need to attach them and feed the cotton through.
just need to find something suitable to pop the coils in so they wont get squished by postie
