New vape trying to quit

Also id pick it up once every two hours maybe when I crave a cigarette and take about 7 puffs? I'm substituting 4 of my cigs a day this way. So would only have about 28- 30 puffs a day? Not a fan of the dizziness tho tbh and i think I'll have to up the e-juice soon too to keep me off them.

The ECO is definitely for mtl vaping. You seem to be very sensitive to the effects of nicotine, so I would completely rule out liquids over 6mg. You are/were a light smoker of 'light' cigs, so shouldn't need high nic at all. One idea would be to have another ECO (or something like a T18e) - so you have one with 3mg or 4.5mg in, and another with 6mg. Then only take a couple of toots on the 6mg to kill any strong cravings.

try grazing a bit more too ... rather than going 2 hours and then puffing away until you feel light headed, just try a couple of puffs every 15 mins or whenever you feel the need.

the joyetech is indeed MTL, it's a 0.5 ohm coil but that doesn't mean anything in the overall picture .... I'd recommend at least 12mg in it usually.

Not sure what to advice though as you are still smoking as well?
this is what confuss me as well as i always thought the 0.5 coils were direct to lung just like the uwell crown i use which are rated 30-80watts.
i guess it depends partly on the kit and if its a fixed output mod and the airflow in the tank itself.
a lot of what i said above was guesswork as id not used any of those kits Louis was using.

when you do decide to upgrade have a look through our recommended suppliers on post 5 to see if there is anything you like the look off and then ask here first before buying POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

dual fuling as Simon said is not the best really as in one hand your clearing out your lungs of gunk and then filling them up again once you have your next cig.

i think it was a lot easier for me back in 2015 as we only had the choice of 2 tanks. the aspire nautilus for mouth to lung and the kanger subtank mini. i gave up overnight on 18mg with the nautilus after a 37 year bad habit and havnt touched a cig since.
so once you get the right setup hopefully it will be a lot easier.

Hi there,

So I started vaping last week. Was a ten a day Malborough light smoker, now it appears 4/5.
I originally bought the pockex aspire but found it a bit too harsh and I wanted something more similar to a cigarette. Even pulling 3mg from that made me a bit wired and I felt I was taking in too much nicotine.

Then I went on to the joyetech ego aio eco. Like it alot more, its more similar to a cigarette. I started on 3mg as well as having my four cigs a day, upped it to 6mg but felt wired again on it and a bit sick, downed it to 4.5mg but tbh I've been craving a cig all evening, extremely cranky, but want to wait till before I go to bed. Basically I can't seem to find a happy medium between cigs and vaping. I'd like to get off the analogs in the next couple of months though and vape full time.

Any advice for a starter would be greatly appreciated!
If i can offer my own advice, get a Aspire Nautilus tank, a small mod that doesn't need to have too much power, so cheap and cheerful.

then get your hands on 12mg liquid and use that set up initially. that is exactly what i stopped 4 years ago using, it is similar to a ciggie and that level of nicotine should help curb the cravings. You need higher nicotine when you start out because its basically like taking a hit, as soon as you want the nic it may as well be a shot in the arm. Once you get over that initial cravings be it days / weeks / months then you can start thinking of lowering the nic level and moving up in power. Just the minute you think about a ciggie, have a vape, not 100 vapes, just a vape.
When you feel you would have a ciggie, spend 5 minutes vaping. i used to go outside for the 'smoke break' and vape instead. Eventually you will stop.

Absolutely first step is to deal with nicotine hits. Otherwise you will never stop smoking, even go as high as 15mg but i started with 12mg at a similar smoking level. i see many regular members of vaping communities on facebook and the like falling back into smoking because their 3mg 80w sub ohm isn't stopping the craving. It won't do, i have vaped for 4 years and still vape at 6mg, and i don't need a nicotine hit!

@Louis91 you have the aio eco, I have the aio ego. Mine came with a 1.5ohm coil but I use the 1ohm coil as I find the flavour better. Ive even tried the 0.6ohm but find it causes it to get a little warm, so basically you could put a different ohm coil in if you wanted

Is this the one you have @Louis91? On the left.

If it is it's definitely mouth to lung and only a 0.5 coil available. I use it with 12mg nic but if you were/are a light smoker maybe 6mg will do.. It's hard to advice when you are still on the fags. Also it's normal to have some reactions to the swap. Best advice is really to stick to it. That setup should be enough for you to get off the ciggies. You can look into other stuff later on. Now just concentrate on not smoking. One cigarette at a time. Every one that you don't smoke is a victory!:2thumbsup:

Ah gosh, I can't thank you all enough for your input. Any advice on how you got of cigs helps. Yep, that's the eco I have alright! Clearly I need to put a 6mg/12mg in It and then never buy another box of cigs. I've heard great things about the nautulis tanks aswell so maybe that will be my next go to! Aslong as it's similar to smoking for the moment.

I can't smoke between the hours of 8-4... Work doesn't permit me too with 24 children in front of you I'd leave at lunch time to have two cigs but now trying to cut those out! Totally agree that I can't stay on the cigs though... Makes sense.

Thanks for everyone's input

The boyfriend said if I could stay off the cigs for two weeks he'd buy me a new phone no better incentive I suppose. Just filled up my eco with 6mg and will start with that. If tomorrow its not hitting the spot I'll go to 12mg!
