Hi guys so glad I found this forum :):) I've been a smoker for over 20 yrs and gave up 28days ago and started vaping. I'm currently using a Kanger Evod Clearomizer with Nicofresh eGo King Battery. The ejuice I'm using is nicofresh tobacco flavour 24mg.

I'm struggling because I miss that throat hit I get from a cigarette I'm also a chain vaper it's rarely out of my hand. Is there something you could recommend I use instead of the above that would help me get that throat hit I crave . I've tried looking online but I'm totally confused!!!

sorry for rambling I hope I haven't bored you too much

Any help will be greatly appreciated :):)

I'm quite the newbie myself, but by the sounds of it you probably need a stronger set up. If you don't feel quite up to wrapping your own coils yet, get yourself an Aspire Nautilius clearomizer tank, this is said to be the best out of all the clearomizers. You will also need a stronger battery to go with that, I recommend getting a MVP v2. This should up your vapour output significantly.

welcome Jenzebar
What technique are you using?
mouth to lung inhale ?
If so then a long slow inhale is required to the mouth, then take it back to the lungs.
try to count to 4 or 5 in your head before stopping the mouth inhale then take it back.
24mg should give a good hit.

Aloha man, thats pretty high nic and im guessing your already using 70pg/30vg liquid, when i first started vaping i still had some cravings for cigarettes so what I did was vape as much as possible but when the cravings got that bit too much i had 1 cigarette and went back to vaping, quickly went down to only 2 cigarettes a day then eventually none.
Also a lot of people arent missing the throat hit but the flavour (psychological link), what sort of flavours you using?

I think if you're on 24mg but chaining it your gear might not be up to the job. A good satisfying thoat hit & the rest can be achieved at half that strength with the right gear. There are a few simple things to know about liquids too for the desired result.
Perhaps take the time to look at the different types of set ups & decide what your ability is before spending too much cash.

Basically you could go for a similar type of tank & battery set up but with a better battery/mod & there are better tanks with better coils to be had.
After that there are the rebuildables. Atomisers that are just solid metal hardware & you wrap & mount your own coils & wick. Ultimately those are the better vape but not everyone goes for them. The way people are talking at the mo', some of the clearomizers work very well now.

For tank/clearomizer people shout about Aspire Nautilus & naturevape pro. Both easy to get your head around.
As for batteries or mods, it's all down to what you want. You can get variable voltage & variable wattage devices & there are a good few to choose from. Some members here will recommend what's worth buying.
There are mechanical mods which require separate batteries but maybe they won't be as suitable for those tanks/clearomisers & possibly a vv/vw device would suit better.
There's a lot of gear to choose from & it all varies a bit, you came to a good place if you need help getting the right gear for your preferences.

Sounds like you need a better battery / mod and atomiser some decent juice would probably be good too. At 24mg you should be getting enough throat hit but if not it's probably down to weak vapour production. Have you cleaned the atomiser since you started using it? dirty coils will reduce vapour output. failing that try a VW mod with a naturevape tank. Something like an MVP2, Vamo or SVD would make a good choice of mod and the naturevape heads can be rewicked in a couple of minutes giving you a "Like new" vaping experience week after week...

I had the same exact problem. I missed the throat hit. My cravings were crazy....I bought all kinds of juice and still missing it. I went to an 80/20 (pg/vg) mix and that helped a little. I finally gave in and bought a Kayfun and wrapped my first coil...instant hit...first wrap a 1.4 with my Kayfun...holy crap, it worked! I use a cinnamon vanilla mix and 28 Inc with a 80/20....I'm going to have to lower the Inc because I like to chain and the Kayfun delivers so much more than the small evods. Best $ I've spent! And don't even want an analog! Wrapping the coil was easy! Watch a YouTube video...first try was a success for me!

Hello mate and welcome to the forum when I was at around the same stage as yourself using just a basic ego 650mah ce4 starter kit with 24mg gold and silver I was having the exact same problem so I did not want to spend a fortune to upgrade to start with to see if it was going to work for me so I simply bought a vision spinner 1300mah battery and a ce5 aspire tank with a five pack of new replaceable heads the spinner battery being a variable voltage battery that can be adjusted in voltage from 3.2 volts to 4.8 volts allowing you to tailor the intensity of your vape and with the newly released aspire dual coil system in the ce5 tank the difference in vapour production and throat hit were amazing and done the trick for me I have been vaping now for sixteen months and now use mechanical mods with drippers and genesis type tanks which are what most people who have been vaping for some time move on to but if you find a setup that works for you then you may just want to stick with that hope this helps you a little mate and hang in there you just need to find the right setup to get the same experience as smoking had but tastes so much better.

I also used the eco cig type 1100 batterys....and also craved the throat hit...Vamo V5 was my answer with at first Nova tanks and now the Nautilus....4 months now im on 18mg, started on 24mg and have a range of juice for change...frut and tobacco flavours..and my best flavour out of all is Rum & Coffee mix great throat hit and if i put to large hole on nautilus lung hit also

The problem with a lot of Ego style battery's is they don't put out enough power. Most are limited to under 3.7 volts.
A variable voltage or variable wattage device is the answer. You can pick up something like a Innokin MVP2 or VV3 for under 40 quid.
