Ni80 for mtl

What gauge are you guys using for Mtl.
I see wire and stuff are have a clear out and wanted to get a reel for back up

Want to for the kayfun lite 2019

Depends what ohm your aimimg for but likely 28awg. 2.5dia 6wraps is around 0.8ohm, 8 wraps about 1.1ohm.

I sometimes use Ni80 for MTL. Have reels of 27 & 28g.

i got a reel of the kanthal on the 2nd link the other day, will last some years.

was looking at wire n stuff website lastnite, thinking of some kanthal 24g clapton for single coil DTL rda and 26g ss316 to try temp control sometime. But im not entirly sure what to get Ive only built for MTL with 28g kanthal before.

I have some 30awg ni80. It’s ideal for mtl but i never use it as I find stainless better. ni80 tastes a bit funky to me. not as bad as kanthal, mind.

For DTL i want something that heats up quick and cools down quick so kanthal is not for me.
26g ss316 is great for single coils dtl.
