Ok so I don't mean those things you stick on your arm. I'm finding my juices sometimes taste harsh of nicotine at seemingly random times.

An example would be I fill my tank and puff on a new juice it tastes fine. Couple hours later I go back to it and it goes all strong. I only make 3mg juices but sometime they feel like 12-18mg intermittently.

I have a few theories:

1. The juice isn't shaken well enough. Thinking about adding a ball-bearing to assist here.

2. The VG base is thicker than pg flavours and nic sinks to the bottom in the tank. I mainly make 80% VG so this couldn't be the reason?

3. The nic some how builds up on the wick? This rhymes as well so it could be the reason by the holy power of poems.

Any ideas guys?

I have a hand held milk frother to mix my juice works a treat:2thumbsup: better than shaking IMO an I make 80%vg juice

how long do you leave to steep your juice do you allow time for it to mix

I know it's a cardinal sin but I get a bit excited and struggle to leave them for more than 2 day. Maybe steeping is the key. Once I have decided on some top flavours I'll probably make bigger batches and let them steep.

fruit flavours i leave for min 24 hrs anything else anything from 1 week to 3-4 weeks

The first couple of puffs when returning to a tank always taste a bit off - already burnt juice has seeped back into the wick and is sitting on the coil and is burnt again.

Nicotine and flavourings are in solution which is then held in a very stable suspension in VG, so it would take a long time for any separation, if any.

Talk of ball bearings and milk frothers is ridiculous, but if it makes you happy.................

Sounds plausible that the burnt just seeps back although the problem i'm having sometime takes a good 10 draws before it clears.

I don't see what's so ridiculous about home made innovations that aid shaking. A full bottle with a small amount of air doesn't seem to shake well by hand alone. Some juice have 5 plus ingredients so surely how well they are mixed together is important. I assume commercial manufacturers have mechanical mixing devices.

Fair point about the air, but I assumed your bottles would only be 3/4 full at most. The more oxygen in the bottle, the better the steeping.

i have the 30ml long plastic bottles and put 3 small ball bearings in it to help shake/mix i feel for the minimum effort / cleaning its worth doing
