Nicotine smell - diluted from 54mg to 2mg - can still smell even mixed with flavour!

Hello fellow mixers!

As title says... I've diluted some 54mg nic to 2mg. I have done this now with nic from two different sources. The smell is stronger in one than the other but I can smell it in both even when mixed with flavour!

I've tried some researching and found very little.

1. Is this normal?

2. If not, what could be going on?

I should say, I've mixed up 20 50ml bottles all with this problem... Needless to say I'm reluctant to pour all this down the drain! Haha!

A couple of other points....

I'm using less flavouring these days... gone down from avg 15% to about 5%.

Also, there seems to be a bit of bite in these juices - does that make sense?

Thanks in advance :)

How does it Vape?
Does it still smell after steeping?
Did it smell even at higher percentages?

Yup. I have VG nic base that smells of dog's feet (as do any juices with biscuit flavouring to me).
The VG base I have seems worse than the PG base before it.
The good news is that I've not noticed a problem with flavour- perhaps because it's so diluted by then

When I first mix I tend to smell the nic but as it steeps the flavour takes over, where did you get the nic?

I have not tried with higher flavour percentages. And yes, it still smells after a week of steeping. I assumed that I should barely be able to smell once diluted to 2mg - especially with flavouring added, but I may be wrong.

In terms of how it vapes. .. it bites... almost a slight sting haha. Sharp flavour .., not smooth at all. Perhaps I need more flavouring!? Haha.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I assumed by diluting it would remove it... but doesn't! I've mixed a couple with no nic base and found the issue is gone.. but it really is missing something for me with no nic! Perhaps I might consider trying that bite xtra stuff.

As I said before. .. The flavour seems sharp... it kind of bites.. This is something I've not noticed before in previous batches!

Thanks for your reply! :)

The 1st batch used nic from totally wicked.... which I won't be doing again. This one suffers the problem worse.

The 2nd batch was from LT ecigs which I have used before with no problems.

Perhaps I just hang noticed before?

'Tis a strange one, and I have no answer.
Every bottle of 72mg nicotine base that I have purchased has been virtually odourless.

Ive read this a few times. Could it be that the nic is in a vg base? perhaps the next order should be for a pg based one?

I've only used VG nic base once, and can't remember whether it had an odour or not.
