Well hello there and a jolly spiffing welcome to the forum wot wot! Nic salts will help you with the cravings as they are absorbed quicker than freebase liquids and thus help take away any cravings more quickly but as you have noted, they are smoother and don't give that throat hit. Freebase would give you the throat hit but won't act as quickly. I use both so I can get the throat hit using freebase and use salts for any bad cravings.

Hi @Coke01 and :welcome1: to the planet. :)

You've certainly started with a pretty decent setup. The VooPoo Argus is not a bad mod and nic salts are definitely the right kind of juice to start off with for any smoker looking to quit. The tank that comes with it does work with any PnP coil and there is a 0.8Ω in the range that may give you a better result. Personally I'd go with swapping out the tank for one that can give you more possible options to test out what kind of vaping style and throat hit you like most. A new tank is around the £20 mark which will probably be better value than buying and trying different coils for the GT because for a new vaper none of them are really ideal being DTL coils.

Probably the best MTL tank around is the Innokin Zlide but I also like the Aspire Tigon because it is a hybrid MTL or DTL tank that gives you lots of versatility to test out different styles of vaping to find the kind of vape you most enjoy.

We were all new to this not that long ago and no question is too silly so if you have any more questions ask away and we'll all chip in and do what we can to help.

Big thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, and excellent advice. Learned a lot already.
