Hi,

I am a new vaper and have the eleaf istick power coupled to an natutilus 2 tank with 0.7 coil.
I vape heisenberg 80vg/20pg and heard that this may be too thick for my coils.
I generally chain vape for about 5mins every hour as i am at work but find my coils need replacing every 4/5 days? Am i doing something wrong? I vape these coils around 18w.
I have another tank, an innokin slipstream using a 0.8 coil, vaped at around 23 w and the coils seem to last forever, its just that i dont like the drip tip on this.
I just wondered if the liquid was not right for the nautilus (hope not as I have bought a boat load!!).
If anyone has any advice i would appreciate it.

Many thanks!

80VG is too thick to chain vape on that coil. The wicking's pretty tight and the juice holes are too small to keep it flowing fast enough. IME the thickest you can really go on that, or any other Nauti coil, is about 70VG, and even then you'll be struggling if you're chaining it at full chat 23W. Personally I've found it better with Nautis to use 60VG, drop the nic content a bit and take longer, gentler pulls.

PS - If you have loads of thick juice, maybe you can mix it with 50/50 juice of the same flavour if that is available. Equal amounts would get you a 65VG.

If you don't like the drip tip on the Innokin tank i am fairly certain you can remove it and put the one from your Nautilus 2 on there instead?

In my N2 tanks the max I use is 70vg however they are better with 50/50 juices if I am honest

Thanks very much, will try and get some 50/50 and give it a go.

Nice one, I will try the 50/50 but also look at swapping the tip. Cheers!

This thread has got me wondering... how easy or hard might it be for the vaping community to influence manufacturers to include recommended VG/PG ratios on their coils or at least on the packaging? Aspire seem to have responded to consumer feedback when they increased the size of juice holes on Atlantis and Cleito type coils and the only plausible reason is because people wanted to use thicker juice, so they know the score - why not put it on the box?

I'm assuming you could dilute a pre mix? Need someone who makes juice to jump on to confirm as I'm guessing you could turn your 80/20 into a 50/50 mix

You can yes, however, if you dilute it with just pg, nic or whatever you will seriously dilute the flavour. The best way as mentioned above is to get hold of a more pg biased juice of the same make/flavour and do it that way. Assuming it's available of course.

change/swap drip tip - easier than messing with juice/ratio
(plop spare N2 tip onto Slipstream)

look for alternative juice/ratio mix for N2

realistically - one is a MTL & other is DTL so they got different tips/bore
but they give a different vape no matter what tip or coil you chuck in them
(you can use the pocketmod coils but nah it doesn't make the slipstream a MTL tank - I've tried that)

I'd use what ya got in slipstream as is for now and search for more 50/50 juice option for N2
but up to you I guess - try & avoid fucking about with stuff if you don't need to is what I mean
(don't bother buying different coils - or stuff like tips & bottles of PG/flavour boosts if you don't need to)

Thanks for reply. changed drip tip on slipstream and much prefer this, its just (noob again, sorry!!) the flavour is more intense with the n2 compared to the slipstream. I guess thats because it is a mtl compared to the dtl of the slipstream? Thanks for your reply mate, much appreciated!
