What's new

Not really vaping related but....

Look at it from the Con's point of view though I guess guys.

They've shown they're just as catastrophically terrible as Labour thanks to their pairing with the shitdems, from this know fine well they will not get re-elected. So if you were a bitter David Cockamoron what would you do?

With his personality, probably be a dick and do whatever you want to piss people off within reason, just to cause more hassle in the long run for the next party to clean up and get blamed for. Because unfortunately when posh spoiled kids can't get their own way they spit their dummy out, this is just the grown up politicians version!

I actually think it stems deeper than that though (conspiracy time, hold up), we essentially have a two tier party system if you fail to recount the rise of UKIP, both labour and conservatives would rather see each other win the next elections than a strangers party they strongly disagree with, obviously. Which is funny, in light of all the EU laws protecting us from government spying, Cameron is lobbying to have more access to civilians data and invade our privacy more so.

The only thing thats protecting us from his NSA-belated spying is the EU. It's a pretty good way to ensure that we want to stay a part of europe and take on some of their laws to protect us from our own government. And without allowing anyone to work out who's side I'm on here, no-ones. I will not be voting at the next elections!

And the thing that really pisses me off, after the invasion and immigration of saxons into england after the turn of the first century, we elected people from our community to represent us, look after us and figure out what's best for the community.. if they did a shit job they would be cast out and someone else elected at the hands of the people. Which is initially what led us into a Kingdom, with a democracy. (that or i was more wankered than I thought when I stuck some late night history channel on last week)

If you compare democracy in those days to what we have now, you've just got to stop and think "Wait, what the fuck happened!?" Democracy my arse.

I can't see how they'd get away with banning it when most research seems to suggest it's far safer than smoking, then again i can't see how they'd get away with taxing it either, won't be able to play the "cost to the NHS" card.

Anything could happen by the looks of it, but if i was in government i wouldn't want to touch vaping with a 10 foot barge pole, either choice would create uproar.

This is what they are doing, have you read the TPD? May 2016 is when we have until. Unless we can make enough noise between now and then, what I predicted will happen.

Indeed, and it needs to be a lot of noise too. We also need more honest studies done, not dry firing a coil at 100w.

If the worst comes to the worst it might just be the kick I need to move somewhere warmer ;)

We've got studies coming out of our ears. What we need is positive media exposure. If we can also manage to exoose all the bollocks going on, that would be ideal, people in the media are starting to notice, the latest formaldehyde crap didn't get anywhere near the coverage and was almost instantly shot down, what we need is a couple of papers to take an interest in the whole corruption slant and really blast it wide open. All of it, the lies, bum reports, misrepresentation, the politicians ignoring the actual scientific evidence, the "charities" *spits on floor* using tax payers money to lobby the government to penalise smojers and ex smokers, the whole shebang. If anyone can figure out how to do that, then we are truly sorted.

I made a complaint to the Consumerist about their coverage of the subject. They like to pretend they aren't clickbait and have ethics so I thought that might be a media access. Its tricky to know how to get an in. We know once we have them hooked it will give the media a strong story to tell, it is how to get them on the line.
